So, my vacation is coming up in June, and I want to go somewhere warm, like Costa Rica, where pooning won't drain the wallet. Any other suggestions for a 1 week trip?

Since there were some people here that went to the Dominican Republic, did anyone feel adventuresome enough to go to even lower priced Haiti next door?
Don't forget to bring some fast running shoes if you go to Haiti.

I would be concerned about security (mine) I wouldn't want some girl to lead me into some cheap hotel just to be mugged oe worse. Any suggestions for this? Also, how are these area for health (HIV) issues.
I have been thinking about a warm holiday - a little company now and then would be nice.
Also, follow up question. If travelling alone (no wife) where would a good resort area be? Any thoughts?

I went 2 Thailand in 2003 and it was a really wicked trip! and it is very cheap there for "everything". U can go there get a place on the beach and live like a king for way less than most places that is still realitivley safe 2 travel. My only advice 4 pooning over there is be SURE your actaully hooking up with a female. Over there the sex industry is 1 of there biggest money makers, so ALOT of feminene looking GUYS will dress up and pretend 2 be a girls and offer really cheap BJ's and such. So just be aware of that if U decide 2 travel 2 Thailand or similar places. But don't get me wrong there are still tons of awsome GIRLS there and I had an unbelievibely great time there. For the thrifty traveler I don't know if there is a much cheaper place 2 travel for the price once U get there------I'am looking on E-bay 4 tickets for Amsterdam and there is actually some sweet $deals$ on there, just research the seller------------Bitz
