Everyone,
Since there has been this very large number of misplaced threads in the past, oh I don't know, several months and since I have started to get really tired of opening up a thread in the Review section and having that thread actually turn out to be a request for into, I have decided to take it upon myself to post a little tutorial on the appropriate use of the sections within PERB.

The Lounge - Discussions about non-pooning topics. The description underneath the heading indicates that the lounge is for "Open discussion area for all." That's pretty self-explanatory, but I will explain anyway. If I want to start a thread about the new Batman movie, I do it here. If I want to start a thread about my hatred of Pres Bush, I do it here. If I want to start a thread about my favourite coffee brand, I do it here. 3 quick examples. There are a million things to talk about. Go!

Help Wanted and PERB Advertisers Only - just what it says. If you are a paid advertiser on PERB, this is the section you post it. (I can guess that many of you are feeling like I am speaking condescendingly towards you. Trust me, I am not. If there is any condescension, it is towards those newbies that have not yet figured out how to read the description of the section under section headings. If this describes you, oh well.)

Escort 411 - The description of this section is "For those seeking information on a specific escort or escort agency." This is where the majority of the misplaced postings. If you are starting a thread that says something similar to: "I was wondering if anyone has seen a SP that works D/T named Kitty Kat. She sounds hot. Send me a PM if you have visitied with Kitty Kat, phone # xxx-xxxx." The Escort 411 section is the area to post this, NOT NOT NOT, the Review section. That being said...

Vancouver (and other city reviews) Reviews - Again, the description under the heading says, "Reviews of Vancouver Escorts & Massage Spas." I guess the thing I need to do is to offer a VERY SHORT review to show what a review might look like. Here goes:
"I saw this hot SP named Phoenix Amore. She is in Burnaby (phone xxx-xxxx). (Write a description of what she looks like). She offers GFE, MSOG and Greek. Her rate is $$$/hr. I got to her place at 9. (Write a detailed description of the events.) I would definately repeat. She was great. (Optional: offer your ratings of her Looks-Attitude-Service. Use a 1-10 scale: 1 -worst to 10 - best)."

The problem is that too many (way too damn many) threads that should be in 411 have been posted in Reviews. Way too god-damn, fucking many 411 in Reviews. STOP DOING THIS!

Some of you are probably guys with authority issues. I can sympathize, I have authority issues too. I can imagine that some guys think to themselves, "These fuckers cannot tell me where to post. If I want to post my question in the reviews, no one can stop me. Ha ha! I win!"

Well, not so much with the winning for you. PERB is a community and all communities, like it or not, have a set of conventions by which that community functions under. The proper posting of threads under the correct section heading is a PERB convention. You become a part of the community when you play along. Others will take you reviews seriously, they will answer your questions, they will PM and you will become "one of the guys" if you just POST IN THE CORRECT SECTION.

Not so much to ask. Make it easier for everyone to read you stuff. Post it properly.

Yup.

Not to hijack your thread AM, but I finally was really fed up reading some ignorant posts recently and tried to find the old "report this thread to a moderator" link, and couldn't find it. Anyone know if it still exists - was I just being ignorant as well? :(

A really good question, Sir W. Perhaps a mod could swing in for a second and respond to this. If a member wanted to complain about a post for one reason or another, what would be the procedure for doing so? Do we just PM one of the mods, do we just sit back and wait for a mod to jump in a make a comment or what? I know that several of us will suggest to the originator of a thread that they have misplaced it (the ever-so-common 411 question being posted in Reviews being the primary example). Is this okay with the mods or do you have any suggestions about what to do?

All praise must go to the mighty and powerful mods!

Hitrack, thanks for the compliment. And thanks for putting things into perspective. Maybe I'm a little more high strung than I want to admit. Plus, I have been off my meds for so long now. Do you think I should start taking them again???

I have mixed feelings over this..

I also get ticked, but at the same time usually the posters are new Perb members or rookies.. I consider myself a young veteran on this board and I remember the first few posts I did and everyone jumped down my throat to the point I almost left Perb.

Since then I have contributed to many reviews and particpated in many forum chats. Many fellow perb bro's have PM'd me many times for advice... so my point is the more new members we have - the better this board will be.. sure we will have the odd short review or post in the wrong section.. the mod takes care of that ..but all and all lets encourage new members to this board ..

And for the guys with over 25o posts that still do it .. hmmm I will vent with you
