"Why is Bush so hostile to the idea of gay marriage? Perhaps because until 1987, George W. Bush was gay. According to a group of 29 Yale classmates who comprise Gay Ivy Leaguers for Truth, Bush was "known to be at least sexually experimental throughout his time in college." One of Bush's alleged former boyfriends, Anthony Berusca (class of '70), told The Dallas Morning News that Bush was "deeply conflicted about being gay, even somewhat self-hating." Berusca is convinced that this conflict led to Bush's drinking problems, but describes the President as a "gentle, caring lover".

In 1986, the Bush family arranged for George to join Worthy Creations, a church group in El Paso that focuses on converting homosexuals through faith. A year later, Bush claimed to be straight, born again, and engaged to Laura Welch (Kitty Kelly in THE FAMILY wrote that Bush's twin daughters were not his offspring, but from a donor at a fertility clinic). Bush at all-male Phillips Academy in Andover , Massachusetts was "head" cheerleader. Drama club and cheerleading are where the gay boys hang out.

George earned the nickname Lips Bush for his skill at giving blow jobs to his fraternity buddies, according to Kitty Kelley. Bush has gay-style excrement nick names for the people he hangs out with: "Turdblossom" term for Karl Rove Note the classic juxtaposition of the obscene with the feminine to come up with a nickname for a gay man. For example, the late David Lewis went under the name Sally Suckemsilly. "Bulldog" term for both Victor Ashe and Jeff Gannon aka Jim Gluckert "Pooty Poot" term for Vladimir Putin, Russian President. "Mr. Big O" term for lispy treasury secretary Paul O'Neill."

Let's for sake of argument say this information is true.

Are you saying a gay person should not be against gay marriage? What would happen if they did not believe in gay marriage?

Are you saying a gay person should not be able to be president? There will be at least one person running in 08 that is gay.

I am sure you had a negative point to your comments, but it is not clear to me what you are trying to say.

I think that the article is spoofing the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth group, or whatever they're called, that came out against John Kerry last year. I think Bush had veterans do the same thing against McCain in 2000 during the primaries.

That would hilarious if it was true but I'd think it would have come "out" by now.

One of the important republican tactics is grass-roots fag-bashing, which would at least spell HYPOCRITE in big letters, but we know that already because so many top-level republicans are gay.

Can't say the info, if true, makes any difference to his incompetence.

Not that I'm in the habit of discrediting negative stories about Bush but the dates on this one seem rather improbable. The Bush Twins are both in their mid-twenties which would mean they were born 5 years before Laura and George even met. I think if that were the case it would be pretty common knowledge that they couldn't be Bush's offspring.

Monkeyboy and Laura were married in 1977. The twins were born in 1981.

Taken off the Internets: http://marriage.about.com/od/celebritymarriages/p/georgewbush.htm
The site is apolitical, about celebrity marriages:

Birthdates: George Walker Bush, July 6, 1946, New Haven, Connecticut. He grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas.
Laura Welch, November 4, 1946, Midland, Texas.

How They Met: They met at a back yard barbeque at the home of mutual friends and were married three months later.

Wedding Date: November 5, 1977, at 11 A.M. in a small wedding in the Glass Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Midland, Texas. It was the same church where Laura had been baptized. The officiant was Reverend Jerry Wyatt.
They had 75 guests. They didn't have any bridesmaids, or groomsmen, or flower girls, or ringerbearers. Their wedding invitations were printed by hand.

There was no honeymoon.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Two rich kids, but no honeymoon, no attendants, no printed invitations?
WTF? Was Laura pregnant? Did she have an abortion?
(The twins were born 4 years after the wedding.)

In an era where it's public knowledge if a politician suffers from constipation or had an extramarital fling twenty years ago, it seems highly doubtful this kind of allegation has any merit whatsoever simply by virtue of the fact that the guy has run twice for president and this so-called "info" about him never surfaced during either campaign.

Mind you, if it WAS true, so many homosexuals are so full of self-loathing that it certainly wouldn't be hard to imagine a public figure loudly and vigorously opposing gay marriage or gay rights of any kind, for that matter. Particularly a Christian Republican (the mayor of Spokane comes to mind).

I have no trouble believing George W. is a total incompetent who was more or less parachuted into the presidency by the guys who really pull the strings (such as Dick Cheney). But believe that until 1987 he was openly gay and that the likes of Kitty Kelley (notorious for her slipshod research and outrageous claims about other celebrities in previous books) should be treated as a reliable source on the subject? I don't think so.
