The "truckers convoy" ceased to be about truckers some time ago. It's been hijacked by cranks and conspiracy nuts with a very different agenda. Saw one older guy on the news last night yelling about wanting a civil war. "we've got guns" he said. I somehow doubt he's just another law abiding truck driver worried about a vaccine mandate.

They've become some truly good Canadian satire. I was debating between posting that link and this one.
I just got back from Lowes buying 10 bags of composted cow manure and heard on the radio, the 'leaders' of the convoy are planning on getting the Government replaced by a citizen's governing committee or council or something. Back to the manure, this appears to be some really good shit. Unlike what is in some of these wacko fucknut's heads.
Let's recap.
There are serious and sincere concerns about some of the organizers of this convoy for being ultra-right white supremacists using vax mandates to whip people up.
Lots of online chatter about this turning into Canada's Jan 6 and storm the capital.
A profound absence of actual intelligent discussion about the truckers vax mandate itself, which is both way too late and utterly inconsequential in terms of preventing COVID19, a typically stupid and stubborn attempt by the government to make it look like they are doing something when they really aren't.
The reps of the actual trucking industry want nothing to do with the convoy, making it plain that the issues brought up in the first point above are very real.
Meanwhile, issues that should be provoking actual outrage, like another 93 unmarked graves at a residential school are buried by this whole idiotic story.
And there's 6 million plus raised for these protests that I would be willing to bet get nowhere near the truckers actually involved and a lot of questions being raised about where that money is coming from.
As usual on PERB, a profound lack of actual discussion, the sides on this issue remain completely entrenched and unmoving.
