Both goalies were awesome in overtime.

That hit on Burrows was nasty. Gotta feel for the guy...he tried so hard to get back up but you could clearly see he was in trouble.
GOod on the boys for killing off the 5-on-3 but I was disgusted by the Canucks PP in Overtime. You get a PP in OT, you gotta skate hard and gain the zone ASAP. I don't know what they thought they were doing by skating in as if it were a public skate on a Sunday night.
I thought there were some questionable no-calls too.

Me too; there's nothing better than overtime in the playoffs.
Does anyone know what the OT record is anymore? I remember a 3-OT game between Philly and Pittsburgh in '01 and another long game between Dallas and Jersey in the 2000 cup final, but I think this was the longest I've seen.
i think it was mentioned during the game that it was 173mins or something back in the 30's

to another event and get home, crack a beer and they played
another whole fricking game!!!
the refs were downright lousy AGAIN!!!! but at least they
decided to stay out of it in the end which was better
than only calling penalties against the nucks.
i thought fer sure that Luongo was gonna face 100 shots ...
he must look like the ass end of a shit kickin this a.m.
if nothing else, maybe he learnt that its better to stop
a couple of the weak ones in the 3rd than go another 3
hours and 50 more shots!
the real unfortunate thing is not only is Dallas playing better
than Vancouver, but Turco has decided to put on a clinic
on stopping shots ...

No during the 4th overtime they were showing the longest overtime games in history. Vancouver's game at 78 minutes and 6 seconds ranked #6, the longest was in 1936 and lasted 116 minutes and 30 seconds.
I loved that overtime, didn't think it was boring at all. Luongo was great in overtime, definately showed he can be a playoff goaltender. As for those who said the Sedins would fade in the playoffs, they looked better and better as the game went on, especially in the 3rd and 4th overtime. Hopefully this win will boost everyones confidence and carry over to the rest of the series.

4 on 4 sucks during the regular season. Why would anyone want to watch it during the playoffs. Hopefully it will always stay the way it is. Nothing wrong with Triple, Quadruple, Quintuple, etc. overtime. Looking forward to Fridays game.

I remember the long ago Islanders ot game that Lafontaine finally ended. I had a game that nite and after I played we were all shocked to learn that the game was still in ot. Geez the old 4 rinks ice was bad back then.
So I love the game but I'm a progressive thinker. I'm always wanting to improve the way things are done. I usually don't like the status quo.
4 on 4 ot is far more entertaining to watch than a bunch of tired guys skating in sand and not taking any chances... for hours.

I disagree. 4-on-4 is very exciting, and often makes up for a matchup between two less-skilled and more defensive teams.
Not sure you should do it in the playoffs, but to say 4-on-4 is boring is just plain wrong.
