If a person is going to play the market, would you rather play the Canadian equity market or the U.S. equity market?

I can say that I have tried both, and it looks like my U.S. stock has done better. I'm attributing that since there are technically more people/buyers/sellers on the U.S. side then the Canadian side.

What have others found? Besides having to exchange your money to U.S. to play the U.S. market, would you rather play the Canadian or U.S. market?

I am in the Canadian market, specifically, resources.
My portfolio is far outperforming every benchmark out there.

dont play the markets, it is all rigged with inside trading. Better to invest in real estate or in a business. Ordinary joes like us have no chance to make it big playing the market.

I don't know if it's all "insider trading". If a person does their due diligence they should be able to make a dollar on the stock market.

What do others do? Is it better to play the U.S. market from a tax perspective?

What are some other advantages/disadvantages?

I don't know about "due diligence," but usually people who understand a certain industry and keep up to date with things have an advantage.
