First off let me say that I am not a Covid denier and I fully support all of the restrictions placed on my daily life in order to get ahead of this pandemic.
But reading stuff like this pisses me off.
So I can't spend Christmas with my family, go out to eat or get my hair cut. My friend whose wife operates a nail salon is near bankrupcy and I can only buy certain items at the store but 3 plane loads of people can fly in from Haiti, all with Covid and this is some how okay?
The government keeps telling us we need to abide by their restrictions in order to take the strain off of our health care system. WTF about the hundreds of people on these planes. Is that not a huge strain on Toronto's hospitals?
I'm sure many of them are Canadian citizens, who despite the government's pleas not to travel, felt some need to go to Haiti. But what about the announcement from the Feds back in the fall where Trudeau himself and a couple of his Ministers said, if you travel, you're on your own if you get Covid.
And I'm not singling out Haiti either. I would be jsut as pissed off if this was plane loads of people from Germany, Australia or Timbuktu!!
As far as i'm concerned anybody showing up at the border with Covid, citizen or not, was warned and should be sent right back to wherever they caught it. They can sit in a hospital in, in this case Haiti, paying their own damn hospital bill and think about their stupid choice.
