About 1 month ago I started driving Sundays for a food prep delivery service that actually pays decently and keeps me busy on Sundays. Really good customers, some cool houses especially on the Oak Bay route that are fun to see up close and MANY beautiful women? I have to say. This past Sunday I was on a new route and one condo I stopped at the customer (never saw her) had delivery to one unit address but I noted that the buzzer was for a unit across the hall but delivery to the other. Did cross my mind that would be brilliant to have your "office" across the way conveniently and probably a good investment as well. The other was a very nice condo building on top of a winding road. Very expensive looking. Gal who came to let me into the building (buzzer faulty. So many broken entercom units!) was in a halter and tight yoga pants, in her 20s or early 30s. Hard to tell at 59 anymore
. And it did cross my mind how she could afford such a place. Mind you just occurred to me an SP probably would not have a multilevel cat tree in her living room. Funny the things you think of though when you enjoy this hobby. I would never of course, ask them what they do but..interesting to wonder sometimes.
An interesting situation comes to mind with an SP's accomodations when I lived in Calgary. She had a client who worked in the oilfields the 10 on 4 off situation, so they came up with a deal where his condo would be her workspace while he was up North in exchange for her favours. I saw her often enough she would tell me what he behaved sometimes, his changing expectations. It was not working out great. Jealousy, frequency, expectations for her to be available "on demand" were all weighing on the SP but she was a practical person, a single mom and a high end condo, great location near the beltline was hard to leave. Eventually I know she did but there was some weird times where he did in my mind a passive aggressive thing, his mood would be unpredictable. Sometimes he was super kind and respectful to her..other times very demanding and aggressive. Was hard to see and gave me a totally different view on the industry. Not just beautiful happy glamorous women making boatloads of cash, the top ones being frequently whisked away for adventures. As I said in another thread while she was pursuing a career in fashion design seriously and hoping to leave this industry, she was in the interim looking for a monthly arrangement abd the financial and otherwise security that would provide.
