Anybody know the rules, on, when you are in a pub do u have to order something. I went to a pub to watch the canucks, the place seats about 140 of that at least 25 people weren't drinking anything not beer not pop nothing but water the stuff out of the tap, the staff complained but to no awail these folks just weren't leaving or ordering. I got up between the 2 & 3rd to use the can, and of course one of these assholes took my seat. I ended up leaving, pissed off when the waitress couldn't back me up. She saying sorry don't worry about the bill. Fuck I'm I pissed off, I should have ram my cane up the guys ass!

Most pubs don't have any set rules, but it's just basic etiquette that if u go into a pub to watch a game, u at least order something... like a beer or some appies.

You let some guy take your seat? I'm curious how the conversation went when you returned from the can? You needed the waitress to back you up? I somehow doubt you can back up the cane insertion statement.

and its better to get into a bar-room brawel over a fucking chair? any ass-wipe that will take your seat is sufficiently stupid to scrap over it and when you both get tossed out, will you have proven anything?

i would have told him that if he wants the seat he can pay the bill, tipped the waitress and on my way out told the bouncers that the guy over there was rude to the waitress and getting ready to dine and dash.

So u think an oldr guy with a cane should get in bar fights with young 20 something punks? All the waitress had to do was threaten to call the cops. I know u don't handle things this way in your trailer park u start a brawl, and ruin the thing for everyone.but not me.

No I would ask him nicely to get out of my seat. If he refused I'd ask him to step outside. Starting anything in a bar is stupid.

Sorry to disappoint but I do not live in a trailer park...not that there is anything wrong with that as some pople are just less fortunate. Sad to see that you think that you are better than people who live in trailer parks.

I also don't think "an oldr guy with a cane" should spout off on PERB about how he would shove his cane up some guys ass.

If you're inside a bar when you ask a guy to step outside, isn't that technically starting something in a bar?

That's kinda funny. I think you read older guy and thought he COULDN'T shove his cane up some guys ass. I read older guy and thought he CHOSE not to shove his cane up some guys ass, but maybe later on was lamenting the fact that he didn't.

Actually I liked LG's response about the tab going to whomever was sitting in the chair...:D

You know this is just bad management. Do you think the owner likes the fact that he (or she) spent tons of their own money on furniture, lease or mortgage payments, and staff wages just to have a bunch of tables not spending money? If it were my place, no way would they get away with this. Water doesn’t have to be served from a tap. Get bottled water and charge $4.50 or more for it.

You should immediately go to the manager and insist that they do something. If they don’t, cross this place of your list and never return.

The staff wouldn’t like this but starting something in the bar is actually a lot safer. If the idiot has his friends around and you go outside there is no telling what could happen to you. In the bar, anything that happens is likely to be shorter, there are others around and for sure the bar would call the police.

I think this is the first time that I have ever agreed with LG. Normally I think your comments are more than a little ............ but this is a great suggestion. I hope to use it someday.
