I was using an Android and quite liked it. Problem is all my computers are Mac's and I have a LTE Mini iPad. To have seamless integration using the Mac OS and IOS you need to use an iPhone so I switched to iPhone 5 when my contract came up. There are things I like about it and somethings Android does better. Basically to me it's a toss up. I do like how any notes I do on my Mac will be transposed to my phone or iPad plus I can use iTunes/iBooks for uploading pdf data sheets of the products I sell. Saves paper and I don't have to carry a ton of catalogs everywhere I go.
Plans, well after years of getting the shaft I called Rogers CSD and just told them in a low unemotional voice that I needed a better plan or I would be moving to the competitors the day my contract expired. They immediately put me through to Retentions and gave me deal I could live with :nod:

Just be careful when you're travelling...it's very hard to determine your roaming data usage when you're using Maps, checking your e-mail, doing research on some entertainment, etc, etc, etc. I suggest always buying the biggest package they have (they're not that big). If you waste $10 or $20 because you didn't use all the data, that's a way better outcome than buying the smaller package and having to pay for your overage, which could easily be over $100.

Do you use those 3,000 weekday minutes? Because I think you can push for a better deal than that if you don't use them all.
As for roaming the USA wouldn't be a better option to get a local sim card for however long you plan to be there?

Got a Garmin Nuvi with life time maps upgrade and only use the phone for maps when in a town I don't know very well to check where my destination is when walking.
I have gone over it twice, unbelievable but when you call forward your office line to your cell it racks up the minutes quickly. My main concern now is battery life and have a portable 6000 mA/hr charger that can recharge both the phone and iPad in just over an hour.
I need the same number or I will just have to go back to the old days with a Rogers and T Mobile number on my biz cards. Call forwarding from a Canadian mobile to a US Mobile does not work seamlessly. Countless times all the calls would go straight to V mail and it was a PITA!
I got one of those. I think the one I bought for my devices was a "Powerrock" aka Stone. It can power two devices on a single charge and as you mentioned, it is portable.
you should be careful using overpowered chargers for your devices. if the batteries get hot during charging you will significantly shorten their life. it's all in the website below

I just don't like how Apple creates a new phone, hypes it up and only makes modest improvements over previous models and yet the Apple loyalists run out and buy it. "Yeah my iphone5s has a slightly faster processor, better camera and new operating system...yet isn't that much better than my iphone5 or 4s".
However, I will say this for Apple, they sure as hell know how to market themselves...their share prices and huge profits speak for themselves, so they certainly know what they are doing.

Lol no I don't, I was just looking at the specs of the phone and comparing it to the iphone5 currently available. Not too much different, but you do get a few more colors to choose from...Gold is a nice addition to the standard black and white...iphone5c has even more colors to choose from but is the "cheap" market entry...made to appeal to more budget conscious consumers.
Yeaa I almost got the 5C cuz I loooooooooove pink but didn't want the cheaply version... The S stands for special, just like Mercedes and the Sonderklasse (s class lol) or maybe it's even the 5Sexy!! !! (That's what I keep telling myself... Lol)
