I'm not sure if this has ever been explored, or if it can logistically be done.
I was thinking for members who have a username for perb to have it setup so that it syncs over to creating the same login credentials to the other sister forums, and if you login to one it syncs over to login to the others.

Not saying the forums should be consolidated into one but setting it up so the same login credentials on one automatically log you in to the others. It's a good way to encourage members to cross check other forums for info on touring providers.

It's never been a thing since the boards all started. The databases and member lists are separate as far as I know. Worth a note to the tech guys. I can confirm however that some handles wouldn't be available on all boards, as many have been taken. Something common like JohnSmith may be the handle you have had on PERB for 10 years, but someone else is JohnSmith on MERB for just as long for example.

Yeah that's fair, what If there's a way to sync all the logins associated with the user are the same email (even if the handle may be different)?

Not a bad idea, but I think it would be a fuckton of work for the guys running the site for an insignificant outcome...

I personally have handle on merb and terb too, just to look if a provider coming from east is known there, but I very rarely checked, and never published anything...

I'm thinking more in terms of those who have signins for all three forums can opt in, and those who sign up as new members can be automatically signed up under the same login credentials.

If they happen to by coincidence have a username on perb that already exists on merb there, they can be automatically registered to the same name with but with a number. Like let's pretend lukom exists on merb, so upon signing on perb as lukom it copies over my credentials to merb as lukom2, unless I request a different login.

I think the benefit to this from a moderator and admin perspective can be if someone is in bad standing at perb they can also be held accountable at the sister forums.

The databases and the mods themselves are different on each forum. When I log into TERB or MERB, I am a plain old member there, same as the TERB Mods here. Only admins, Fred Zed and Mark Service are the common denominators between boards. I think the idea is interesting in theory but mostly a non-starter.

What if we start with making it a standard to copy over new user signups to the sister forums, and then considering to make it so that existing users can copy over their credentials to the sister forums, and it would have to match with their email ?
