I'm going to Cancun for a week in early March and am planning on developing a quick base tan first. But I'm a total newbe when it comes to the whole tanning salon experince. Roughly what are the prices per min. I'll probably just go 3 maybe 4 times.. and a couple mins each time. Do people normally apply lotion or anything before they jump under the lights. Also do I need to bring a bag with a pair of shorts in it, or can I just jump in there in my boxers? .........

Use the stand up booths

Stand Up booths are much cleaner...use lotion and start slow.

My co-worker got a form of herpes on her stomach from the lie-down model...rash broke out on her stomach and she had to use medication to get rid of it, which took 2 weeks.

Have fun in Mexico

Actually you shouldn't start with a stand-up, to build a base tan you should start with a mid-level lay-down bed. If you go a reputule salon, they will have sanitized the bed for you, or you could always ask to do it again.

You should start off with a like 6 mins or so depending on the bed, always use a lotion, you can either buy a one day "sample" or a bottle. It increases your tan buy like 40% without having to go under too much exposure.

After you get back if you want to keep up your tan, you can always go every week or so to the stand up, they are really strong, powerful to give you a pick up, but again do not build up a good tan.

As far as price and minutes they vary drastically, but most places have a drop in rate, but buying minutes works out better and they generally don't expire.

I have psoriasis and consequently have had to get uv treatment for the last 30+ years, off and on. No sign of skin cancer yet.

My psoriasis had cleared up a lot a few years ago, so I wasn't getting any uv (and I would have to go through a long process of referrals to get uv again at the hospital), but last Xmas I noticed the psoriasis was starting to come back more strongly and a nearby tanning salon had a boxing day discount offer. So I bought a package, and my psoriasis has really cleared up.

I go about once or twice a week for 5 to 8 mins. of stand-up. I don't use lotion, other than sometimes an SPF 15 on my face when I don't want to look too sunburned.

I never thought that lotion would actually make my tan better. What lotions do people use?

One of the perks I've noticed is that every girl who mans the front desk has a nice cleavage on display. I wonder where the management gets these pretty girls. Are they models in need of part-time work (and free tanning) or exotic dancers or porn stars? I mean these girls all have a great set of knockers (and everything else looks good, too).

Yes! I couldn't agree more!!!

I had two girls punch holes in the cheap wood and caught them spying on me tanning naked. I found it hilarious and actually got hard and stroked my cock for them under the lights!!!

Go for a 5 min tan in a booth, then go for a spray tan....then head off to your sunny place on the beach and you should come home a dark boy no burn!!!

Thats weird considering you lay on your back:eek:
creepy.

I went to a new place recently it was about $150 for 4 sessions, 10 min max each, stand up or lay down, but they are new beds, most powerful you can buy for salons as of right now,at least in North America, and after the 4 sessions I had a GOOD base tan. a nice color.

use lotion or you will dry up, ad get white spots which could peel.
(not everyone, but i've seen it on a few)

Yeah I thought so too. I know sunburns, can make some break out in cold sores, so maybe she already had the virus, and it caused it to come out, or it was just a coincidence?
