Taking the Lead out of Gasoline reduced crime?

A British study says that removing Lead from Gasoline and Paint has lead to a reduction of crime 20 years later.

So either the mild heavy metal poisoning was making people crimey, or maybe it's a coincidence?

However, when a person looks at what the symptoms of lead poisoning of a child are supposed to be, many of the symptoms are still present in our population. Lead is supposed to affect people by making them unaware of risk, make it so that they don't recognize risk. And yet, some of the things that teens do these days wouldn't have even been considered when I was a teen.

What I found interesting, the reason I posted the article, is that it demonstrates the use of graphs to "prove" just about anything.
