I will be getting the H1N1 shot myself, and I'll also be giving it to both of my children, including my autistic son. No, I don't believe the mercury in the MMR vaccine caused his autism, as that theory has been totally debunked. Only wacko conspiracy theorists believe that these days.

He's Back!

Did you notice any signs or did it just hit at 5 years old?
Most "research" is sponsored by the big pharma companies that make the vaccines. When you see a case of police brutality would you trust those police to investigate themselves?

Hey Silky, is that the best you can do? - Only 3 posts?

Like I said, only conspiracy theorists believe that thimerosal caused autism. GBS, perhaps yes, but not autism. The US CDC, the WHO, the FDA and many major medical journals (Lancet, NEJM, JAMA) have published studies saying there was no link.

Vaccines save many more lives than they hurt.

Out of curiosity, has anyone else checked the contributers on the link that was provided.

Well, just for fun, I did. Take a look for yourself who contributed to the link. Most of you won't be surprised. Once a conspiracy therorist, always a conspiracy theorist.

..........

Don't take this the wrong way, but I do like his new handle. At least we can agree on something.

All kidding aside, if anyone out there is seriously concerned and would like to get more information, I just heard that Global TV will be having a panel of Medical Professionals on at 5 PM today. Now I only heard a soundbite on the radio, but I would imagine that they will be discussing all aspects of Swine Flu and vaccines.

As I menitoned in an earlier post, don't trust anyones statements that are found on boards such as this, check with your health care professional, and with other professionals in the Health Care field.

Now of course I realize this information will be from MAINSTREAM NEWS, and according to some on this board, not entirely trustworthy, but then again, you can make up your own mind.

Don't succumb to the fears out there. Try logic and common sense.

hey deberry, have you come up with any uncontested results that would lead people to believe that there is a danger with the vaccination? And Alex Jones doesn't count, and neither does the The Daily Mail from the UK.

Of course I'm serious. I'd rather be safe than sorry. I don't want to bring H1N1 home to my family nor do I want myself or them to contract it. I am a health professional (not MD) and from the research I've done, I feel that the H1N1 vaccine is safe and tested.

get a grip

I really suggest you read the whole thread and link to the story about Washington Redskins cheerleader who is nearly paralyzed now after taking the flu shot. Plus the flu is ever changing and mutating into different strains so the shot will do nothing but make you sick. Believe me if you look at the info, you DO NOT want this shot.
OMG.......you are freakin hilarious.....A + B does not equal C...

so, in your world, if a guy crosses the street and gets killed, you would never cross a street???????

we are talking about a VERY unfortunate and EXTREMELY rare situation with this young lady....very tragic indeed...but, come on..............to suggest to the world not to take the vaccine based on one tragic situation is very near-sighted and displays paranoia...

for people of high risk, the vaccine is most likely a good idea...

for others, it is not necessary...it you get it, just live with it, recover, and move on...

Actually, the opposite is true. Get your facts straight. Thankfully, the H1N1 virus is very stable, and the vaccine is based on the first wave of the virus from spring 2009, so the virus has undergone very little 'genetic drift'. The public health experts all agree that the vaccine is going to be quite effective for those that receive it.

I take my medical advice from qualified health experts, not Dr Laura.

Wait, there I go breaking my rule about debating with idiots. When will I ever learn? :D

Many thousands of people die each year because of the flu be it regular or the new strain but the vast vast vast majority are sorry to say poor people with little or no access to health care and already have many complications to their health.

Most people here do not fall into this category sure we might get sick but normal healthy people are not the at risk people to start dying.

It's a personal choice made by each person and those with children will make the choice for their kids. Personal choice is what makes our country great.

As for all these wild stories you get from the internet come on anyone can put anything they want onto the internet and you have to take every story with a grain of salt. You show the exact same test data to 100 people and you will get 100 different opinions on the results. Your never going to have a 100% agreement on anything if people are free to express their opinions.

:D Silky, don't run away so fast, we're not going to hurt you (or ban you..) well not yet....

It takes us 2-3 minutes each time to ban you and only about 20 seconds to mass delete all your posts - It doesn't matter which handle you use..

Since we believe in Mod Energy Conservation... here at Perb we're going to let you post for a half day or so and then blow your idiotic psycho-comments the hell out of Perb. :D:

This way we're letting you waste your time and days posting your heart out and not bothering the rest of the internet - while we can still go about doing our jobs in 30 seconds or less.

Please come back and visit us in any one of the multi-ID's you've registered in the past few weeks. Once a Silky.. always a Silky...

But. here's the deal, folks. Do not requote his / her / its posts. It takes us another 10 seconds to delete any post where Silky has been quoted or replied to. We're going to start totally deleting ANY POST that requotes our buddy. If you quote or reply to any of those posts we're going to take action against you.
Now isn't that an interesting turn of events:
Perb lets Silky post.. and then bans everyone else LOCAO!
(Laughing Our Collective Asses Off...)

We'll do it too!
I feel stupid for responding to you but that "story" is about 30 or 40 years old since he was talking bout the polio vaccine which was 1950-1960 its now 2009 almost 2010 things are a bit different now obviously you have not taken notice to this fact. He talks about the start of aids which also shows the timeframe of the so called "story"

All of your stories are piecemeal and incomplete and so outdated they have no reason at all to even be addressed. The narrators also edits the conversations its not one solid interview so who knows what was edited out and what the actual question he is responding to.

I really hope you get some help because you have some serious mental health issues that you seem to not be getting help with.
Take note. Why get banned because of a mental midget.

It's a world wide conspiracy. Every government (federal, provincial, municipal,) every health organization, every microbiologist, every researcher, every Dr., every politician, every newspaper, every newpaper jouranlists are all in on it.

Well, even today in the Vancouver Sun, on both the front page and in the editorial page are in on it. They are shooting everyone one up, planting microchips under the skin of everyone recieving the shot, and on top of this, it is also a way of controlling the worlds population,

Don't be surprised that by next spring over 85% of the worlds population will be dead. Why you ask, because the NWO, lead by the Illuminatti, The Free Masons, The Bilderberg Group, Skull and Bones, The Elders of Zion, The Royal Family (all Royal Families) want and need to control the world.

So for all us poor schmucks out there, we really shouldn't get the shot. Make these people who want to control the world come right into our living rooms and march us of to the concentration camps, but remember to put up resistance. Don't go down without a fight.

On second thought, as Rosanna Rosanna Danna used to say.

NEVERMIND.

This is scary shit!!!

Healthy teenagers are not supposed to die of the flu. Only the elderly, the immunocompromised and maybe a few infants usually die of influenza. This reinforces my belief that a vaccine is a good idea.

Flu kills Toronto teenager
Tue Oct 27, 7:39 AM
The Toronto Sun

A teenaged Etobicoke hockey player, who recently earned his assistant captain's letter, died yesterday from the H1N1 virus.

Evan Frustaglio, 13, was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital after collapsing at home just before noon yesterday, his grieving dad said.

Paul Frustaglio said the coroner's office last night confirmed his son died of the virus.

The so-called swine flu has already claimed 29 lives in Ontario, including several people in the GTA, during the first wave of the pandemic this spring.

Frustaglio's eldest son was sent home Sunday after being checked at a walk-in clinic for symptoms that first appeared during a weekend tournament in London.

Complaining of a sore neck and throat, Evan didn't get to play much and spoke of not feeling well while dining with friends Saturday. He vomited at home after leaving the clinic, "but the fever was down in the morning," his dad told the Sun.

But after taking a bath, Evan collapsed and Frustaglio, who had taken the day off to be with him, called 911.

The autopsy was speedily scheduled.

"We have another son and Evan was with so many other people," Frustaglio said.

"He was a good boy and for this to happen at age 13 ... ," he said, his voice choking.

His voice also catching, Mississauga North Stars coach Al Reisman said Evan's tragic death devastated teammates and raised fears about H1N1 among the team's 15 families.

Two other players on the AA team were quarantined with symptoms and another boy was treated with Tamiflu serum.

'Shocked'

"We're all very, very shocked," said Reisman, adding the right-winger "was a pretty unforgettable kid ... he had the best style.

"There wasn't a more passionate kid about hockey," he said.

"How are we going to deal with these kids?" added Reisman. "I've been a coach for 30 years and I've never, ever been associated with anything like this before."

The team's practice tonight was cancelled and counselling has been offered to the players.

Reisman said he was released from hospital late Sunday after being given a brain scan and blood tests following a massive headache -- an H1N1 symptom.

Anthony Cella, coach of the Toronto Titans, who started playing hockey with Paul Frustaglio when they were boys, called Evan "a typical nice, well-mannered boy.

"He was very respectful, very dedicated, very committed" to hockey, but also a good school student, said Cella, a business partner in an endoscopy clinic run by Frustaglio, where Evan's mom Ann-Marie is head nurse.

A St. Joseph's spokesman said anyone presenting flu-like symptoms is being tested, staff wear protective devices and an H1N1 vaccine clinic for them and students is being prepared.

Three years ago, when he was at the Mississauga Senators mid-year training camp, CityTV quoted Evan calling hockey "the best sport."

Evan died after Ontario's top medical official confirmed the pandemic's second wave had hit the province, with 29 deaths, including a pre-teen in Ottawa last weekend and a 15-year-old boy in Timmins on Oct. 14.

Federal officials approved the H1N1 vaccine last Wednesday and 722,000 doses were shipped to Ontario's 36 local health units Friday. Clinics open to the general public Nov. 2 and some doctors are offering shots now.
