Yup- I totally agree.
But I'm stuck in the past on a lot of other things anyway.
I started a FB profile towards an account years ago- never used it or fully completed it.
I re-established it a few months ago- simply so I could access certain websites of interest that were FB driven. I've never been one to give a shit about the whole connected-to-the-world-social-media thing.
Well, instantly I was inundated with HUNDREDS of friend requests, photos and the like.
These must have been sitting dormant and pending the opening of the account. It was unbelievable.
So I thought-OK, what the fuck? Why not add some of those closest to me as friends? Big mistake- the flood gates opened and the saturation began.
I've since un-friended everyone. Fuck it. Most understand, some can't grasp it but TFB.
How do people have time for this shit anyway?
Like QM'r said, PERB is enough for an old fucker like me.
Old fuckers like us need more relaxing things to do right DDcanz? I mean like fly fishing,
pooning on a sunday afternoon.
Racing down Highway 1 at speeds that warrant a visit to the judge.
Ooooops scrap that last comment. LOL.
Really though I thought about getting involved in things like twitter and facebook and a
relation told me almost word for word what he went through the same as you did DD.
That's when I said "Fuck it" who needs that kind of headache.
I've got texting I can use from my phone. If someone pisses me off I block them.
I've got wechat on my phone. If some psycho bitch starts asking to many questions. I block them
and can delete them as a friend on both counts. Nice and simple.
Nice to have the simpler things in life available ain't it.
Now from a business perspective like Ms Erica speaks about yes it's another avenue to recruit business
but like any of the modern conveniences it comes with it's load of headaches as well.
It sure is funny how we create all these nifty things to make our lives better.
But in reality it is simply fucking up our lives even more.
