Me and a few buds sitting around talking about this and we came to consensus.
several of us have coached minor hockey and played, managed teams etc.
We have all had many many run ins with wacko parents from our teams or opposing teams.
We all have been threatened , slandered , and abused by drunk/drugged/fukked up adult parents.
We all think they(police) should go back and question the team and other parents to see if a nut case had issues in previous games.
Then saw she was at the arena and did what he did.
just our thoughts and theory......this is fukkked up !

The Hockey Mom murder was an innocent person in the wrong place at the wrong time. The January 1st murder is an example of someone who placed herself in danger. The police had multiple dealings with the suspect and victim prior to January 1st. Solving the January 1st. murder doesn't take a rocket scientist. They already know who it is. They just need time to gather the evidence.

The Hockey Mom murderer is still at large and unknown. Catching him is going to take considerable resources and at this moment, the public is at risk. Unlike the January 1st murder, anyone has the potential to be the next victim.

I feel for "real" victims. Not people who place themselves in danger. Someone who is killed because they are hit by a drunk driver is a tragic situation.

Someone who is killed in a car driven by a drunk driver doesn't get my sympathy. They put themselves in danger.

Leah Hadden-Watts is another example of someone who deserves what she got. Doesn't matter if you are male or female. You hang around with gangsters, you have to be prepared for the consequences.

I wish you no ill will, but will say that escorting is considered a high risk lifestyle. If you are going to participate, you have to be prepared for the possible consequences of your actions, be they good or bad. There is no return without risk. That's a fact.

so when you het robbed and beaten by a pimp or contract aids ,it wont be tragic? you wont consider yourself a victim? what about the loved ones that are affected ? would your family not also be victims ? should they be blase because you" had it coming", knowing the risks? when a child crosses the road and gets run over,thats not tragic because the kid knew there were cars out there but chose to cross the street anyway? a plane crash? not tragic?

I have no time to feel sorry for someone who put themselves in danger. In the past I've helped out "real" victims, like finding a place for kids who have been abandoned by their parents. Kids that are too young to know what's happening. They only know they're going to see their new auntie and uncle. Kids whose grandparents can't take them in because they just can't afford to. Disabled kids who might not make it to adulthood. Kids who haven't eaten in days because their parents have no money. I feel sorry for "real" victims. Even after you've helped them, you walk away with a heavy heart because you know the odds are against them.

If you can't, you have to call the Ministry and they try and find a foster parent for a little while. Even if it is only a day or two until they can find a longer term set of foster parents.

im not real big on believing what is printed in a newspaper or online...its a well known fact that the police quite often feed BS stories to the media for many reasons. its a great way to control the masses . and to catch a killer when he slips up because his story isnt told, etc.

One thing I've learned from participating on online forums is people (myself included) often say/write things without reading up or thouroghly thinking through the implications of their statement. This is what is often helpful in he dialogue that results. Others have reactions and it reminds us of what we missed when we were busy forming our first response. THat being said i've responded before finishing reading this one....
