On the topic of me wearing men’s things I don’t wear men’s watches but I am wearing a blue men’s T-shirt to match with my comfy ladies grey sweatpants.

Fucking restaurant chaged me 90$ on a date for a bottle of this shit.

If I weren't on a date I'd be in a jail for arson.
i dont think it would be out of line to name the establishment?

Also another check mark for escorts over civilian dates

BC Liquor has a couple on sale right now that we like: "The Crusher", a petite syrah and Tom Gore Cab Sauv, both from California.
"Landlust" and "The Crusher" ... does this say something about the minds of grape growers????

Ah yes, quite right! Any rose from Provence.
Cote des Roses Rose

Languedoc, France

$26 in BC Liquor Store. On sale for $23 til Saturday. I'm picking up a few :thumb:

A very pleasant dry Rose that I had with a light Italian meal recently.

My guest thought it was 4 * .

Thank you for that. I'll scoot over there and get some.

For those that want an actual drinkable white and not some silly "Summer Sipper" with an AV of 11.5-13%, while staying on a budget, then 19 Crimes Hard Chard is the winner. Regularly $18.99 bottle at any Government store (currently on sale for $16.99 for a couple more weeks), IMO this full bodied white punches WAY ABOVE it's weight class. And at 15-16% AV depending on the vintage it's not for the meek.

Think La Crema Russian River Valley.
Think Wente Riva Ranch.
Think Kendall Jackson Grand Reserve.
Fuck, even Rombauer to a lesser degree.
These start at $35 bottle and climb up from there.

You're all welcome.

I think it was you who recommended the Alta Maria Chardonnay last year. I liked that one.
So I gave the 19 Crimes Hard Chard a try last night. I had 2 glasses... yowza.

That wine hit me hard. It’s probably best I didn’t wander around the board last night. There’s a good chance I’d be in perbatory right now. I know I gave a buddy a really hard time last night... poor guy. But I meant almost everything I said.

Alta Maria is a nice budget friendly favourite of ours. I think it's still going for 14.99.

Oh Yeah!
For the less initiated 19 Crimes HC is best consumed in moderation to begin with. It's a kicker. Like I said in my OP, it ain't no "silly 'Summer Sipper' " Riding bicycles and any sort of ladder work is highly frowned upon.
Glad you enjoyed it, and condolences to your buddy.

A summer wine thread isn’t complete without Gamay. A red that is great chilled. This is a favourite of mine. 32$ at Swirl Wine in Yaletown.
