A lot of guys complain that they don't get answers to every text or email they send to an escort.

Well I just sold my bike online. I had a very reasonable price, clear description, and a bunch of very clear pictures. But dealing with some of the goofs on kijiji...I now see where ladies get frustrated and just give up on a lot of guys.

One guy sent me forty (yes Four zero) emails in less than five days asking for pictures of different parts. He emailed me while I was at work so I told him I'd get back to him after work or after dinner. So why did he email me fifteen minutes later asking if I'd sent the pics yet? Is he a jerk, does he not read my replies, is he stupid...?

And a couple of other guys were almost as bad. I sent the same bunch of pics to one guy three times but he says he never got them. Some guys lowball me with stupidly low offers. I didn't bother responding, so they sent them a few more times. Others ask what other guys are offering. One guy asked if I could ship it to Hong Kong...WTF??? One guy asked really clueless questions but kept saying he was a serious buyer.

Finally one guy called, came over on Monday evening, bought it for cash with no haggling or stupid payment plans.

So about fifteen total annoying timewasters, three or four possibles, one actual buyer.

I hope the ladies get a better ratio than that.

yes of course...and when guys say, her texts were really short and straight to the point & generic (some phones have the option of sending quick pre-made texts).

I am young fit and hot; never have any problems getting bikes, not used to having to pay for them. How much for ME to buy the bike?

LOL, great thread! That sums it up pretty well except we have to deal with guys who ask us for BB sex, ask if three guys can come over for the price of one (like I want to let three guys come over anyway), ask for services that we clearly don't provide, ask to send them pictures of our pussy, and send us abusive texts sometimes just out of the blue for no reason at all just because they think it's funny I guess. Just some of what we deal with on a daily basis.

I am mad at myself for not picking up on the timewaster who sent the forty emails.

My brother figures there are a lot of lonely people out there who have no other means of contact. Ladies who advertise (or me selling my bike) are a kind of captive audience. They have no intention of doing the deal for real. But the lady or seller cannot tell, at least not right away. By the time you figure it out they have wasting a whole mess of your time. It is easy to be sceptical or too suspicious of everyone after that.

I can see now how get asked the exact same question for the one hundredth time today can annoy you. I posted colour pictures of my bike with a current MB plate, still got asked what colour it was. God some guys are such idiots.

Hahaha, too true!
Thanks for posting this, westwoody :)

Now imagine that you relied solely on selling bikes to pay your bills, so you had to wade through piles of those messages EVERY SINGLE day, looking for the buyers that seem genuine. Then after you finally pick a buyer and spend another 5 or 6 correspondences to arrange a date, he messages 20 minutes before the pickup to say he's changed his mind. Or maybe you spend 90 minutes polishing up the bike on a Friday night, wheel it out into the garage, tie a pretty ribbon on it and he never shows up. Aargh!

I think every client in this hobby should be required to sell a bike on Craigslist before they contact a service provider, just to get a little empathy. Kind of like those strap-on pregnancy bellies that future fathers wear to get a feeling of what it's like to be pregnant, haha! :)

;)

Haha! Love this thread!

I live two hours away: can you drop off the bike at my place and give me a better deal? I'm a long-time cyclist with a good reputation so in return I'll give you a good review. Everybody is going to want to buy bikes from you in the future!

How can you say no to this?! lol

so I just re-read your OP...and honestly, we could just change a few words and it could be the experience of an escort...lol..even the part about hong kong, some idiots will seriously ask if they will visit "some random far away town" one day, or if they would like to meet them there etc.

But usually the ratio is better, 5:1 I'd say.

I was in such a foul mood from talking to idiots that when the guy who DID buy it called I almost punked him off.

"Hi I saw your ad, can I come take a peek?" he looks at it for two minutes, quick test ride, done deal.

I guess you develop a sixth sense for weeding out the WOTs. Or you would go nuts.

Not a for sure thing, maybe 50% of the time

Or you would go nuts
To late, to many WOT's, already gone nuts :frusty: LOL

I love the ones that text me every month and say and ask the same thing. Rates? Where are you? Are you available now? Then in 3-6 weeks the same. Have one that has been doing that for a year now. Haven't blocked him because I am curious how many years he will go doing the same.
Another favorite is the guy that tests every 4 months and asks if I "Rock Climb" Told him yes, I have all the gear including harness, rope, carabiners and belay and rappel gear. Funny enough he never responds back.

Did I say I love this thread. Thanks WW for bring it up.

give it a few more years and a mental breakdown or two and it will become 99% :eyebrows: (that you risk wasting your time with anyway, of course they will still contact you forever, yup some even for years and years!) 1 tip is to post your rates on your ad, and if anyone texts asking for your rates, ignore...most of the time its a bad sign means they never even bothered to read anything on your ad and will probably be a WOT
