I brought my father along to a session once. How does that fit into the scheme of things?

I cannot agree more!

Once when I was working in Vancouver, I went to see a client that had asked me to come to the back door. When I showed up, he told me to be quiet and he snuck me into his bedroom. Once I was inside he mentioned that his 8 or 9 year old daughter was in the living room watching t.v!! Not only that, but the guy was smoking crack!! I wanted to leave so badly, but crackheads can be rather unpredictable and violent, so I decided to stay. After the session was over, he asked me if I could come around to the front door (as though I had just showed up) to give him and his daughter a ride to her soccer game!! Needless to say I was sooo out of there!!

I find it absolutely disgusting that a man would do something like that with his child in the next room!! From reading this thread, I can tell that most people seem to have their head screwed on right when it comes to this subject, but I think people like him should be put away for child endangerment!!

that's my 2cents

What he did with you was creepy, but doing crack is fucking irresponsible and a real danger to the child. An anonymous call to child welfare is the least you should have done.

Babysitter ... $4 - $6 per hour

escorting ... $200- $300 per hour.

Tom
Babysitting $4-$6/hour? Are you kidding me? Where? Lol, thats slave labour in my opinion. I pay mine $12/hour. They're human beings.

Yeah babysitting isn't cheap!

I used to babysit two really bratty kids for $2 an hour, and we are only talking about maybe nine years ago! Now the going rate is between 8 and 12. I used to have to babysit 30 hours to buy my fav 501's.

I have so many horror stories working with an agency. One trip I took out to Langley with another girl. We get there, and there are two men sitting in the back yard having a couple of beers, then in pool is the 2 year old, the 4 year old is having a nap. We have to hurry because mom will be home soon! The "dad" is so loaded that he ends up puking in middle of things with the other girl, while I entertain his son. Can you imagine? So I guess I made $100 an hour for babysitting.

There is no reason what so ever to expose your kids to these adult things, it is just disgusting. I feel for the girl but there must be another way.

Wow, that's a very sad story. :(

Kids should never be exposed to these sorts of activities.

You're so right, so right. Unfortunately the poor woman probably doesn't have a lot of choices if she's got kids to feed. It's sad, and what makes things worse is that her family would be prime target for not just predators, but child protective services to take them away from her.

lol during a session while back i had a SP tell me not to make so much noise cause her kids could probably hear me:rolleyes:

but I completely disagree with kids anywhere near this realm. I also disagree with working from your home - both safety concerns.

Reminds me of the time a 40 ish year old man brought his 3-4 yr old to the whore house - I was shocked, the madame told him never to come back after lecturing him on the well being of his daughter. CREEPY I saw it with my own eyes!!!!

what works for me

as a sp with kids, it's not for me to say whats right or wrong for anyone else...i will just say this for me i have always limited my availability to my childs school hours, and it has worked fine. i think it has even helped to ensure that i have never had to deal with anyone drunk or high(one element of danger removed). all in all i guess it comes down to the reason a person chooses to be a sp, what their goals are and how best to achieve it, for me i decided right from the start that being an sp must never interfere with my personal and private life.

So This Was Creepy

I remember working at the Touch and when you press the fourth floor button all the girls assemble on the couch and pose.

For those of you who haven't been there, the girls where like super hot see thru teeny tiny gear and it's very "adult".

So I'm working the day shift there and the door bell goes and I'm the hostess.

In comes a dude WITH HIS LITTLE GIRL SELLING GIRL GUIDE COOKIES!

I was totally speechless....but nicely told him that we didn't carry cash with us.

We were all super tripped out and thought that the guy was just a weirdo for even thinking of that....

We did want some thin mints though:p

It is definately unacceptable to have a child present while adult actiuvity of this sort is going on. I would be more worried about the mental health and emotional health of the child than anything else. Its simply unacceptable..... it would break my heart to have that happen.

You better start checking out babysitting prices.
If you can find anything under $8 you are lucky and I have friends that pay $10 all the time.

But yes I have been visiting a SP when all of the sudden she asks me not to make as much noise so not to wake the kids.
Mind you thats when I've called up and made an appointment for an hour later . I can see it would be hard to get a babysitter that fast.

u dont take the call... any woman who would put their children in that type of danger should have their kids taken away.. plain and simple... I dont care what the excuse is... that client could stalk you... snap, be agressive, hurt your kids.. u dont know... you should not work around your kids.. I dont think people should work from their homes either.... its not safe.. and you expose too much of your personal surroundings.. your safe haven.... your center... no I dont think its good.... just a slice of my pie:p

I AGREE WITH ya..but what cant we do when it happen..to ask the children to walk out when mommy is working? and i don't know how old the child is..if they are a little older i am sure they do understand that is going to pay the next meal..if too young oh boy must have good friend around to take care of the child during that..i really hope for my self i wont expose my child to this ever..

mental health is very important..specially when you like the person.. it get in your self deeper and is good to take a distance if you want to stay in the business.. because i must admit is also easy to fall in love with someone like fall men who is paying for you well..confusing if you have to deal with your children and that type of work .i don't believe it is good at all.. many SP i know in Montreal had to give up their child for adoption or abortion including my self because i didn't want them to be expose to that "some day i will find my prince charming and start the right way":p
