I just didn't have the heart to put this in any other thread.

Does anyone else hate this song?

Feel free to add more songs that we might just love to hate...

I still can't wrap my head around how this even happened. It's so bad it is like a really convincing parody mocking something else.. but I checked, this IS the "something else"

This song brings my station switching finger into immediate action. Put it on a 24/7 play loop at Guantanamo Bay and all the terrorists will either be begging to confess or committing suicide.
Sheesh, I'm with you. When I first heard the song, I was like, really, are they serious? this song sucks! If Miss AK is on a comeback trail, this is a terrible way to start. I just had to go to youTube and look for the video, I thought the song was that awful!

Isn't a song 'you love to hate' mean a song that you know you should hate but can't help but love? Kind of like how Canucks fans hate Jerome Iginla, but, they'd take him in a heartbeat because he's awesome?

That's my understanding of that idiom.
Yeah, I don't see it that way. There are just some songs that make you crazy, from the first hearing. When I first heard She's On Fire, I recognized Alicia Keys' voice immediately. In the same moment, I couldn't believe that such a shitty song was hitting the air waves, after somewhat of a break, from such a previously well-regarded star.

So, to me, I hate the song, and I love hating it, because it's that bad...and I can't believe they let it through, instead of working harder to make a good song for her comeback...

Nevertheless, I totally get your Shawn Desmond hate, as Nobody Does It also seriously sucks!

Now here's a list of really shitty shitty songs, and their writers. This is a great article, for any of you that can't believe what shitty songs make it onto the airwaves these days!

Right now, there are two songs I can't stand are: "Diamonds in the Sky" by Rhianna and "I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons.

Two artist I hate so much that I wish I was deaf when I hear them are Lady Gaga and Janis Joplin. The first talent is severely overrated, virtually non-existent and the second had none to begin with, just a drunken buffoon.

Also, if we hate these songs so much, why are we posting clips so others may have to endure the substandard musical prowess they exhibit?

I can't speak for the others, but it was a game we used to play in Japan (at work).
We'd mail each other songs trying to get them stuck in the other persons head.
The cool thing was that as more people started to play along, and the game spread throughout the company, you'd walk down the hall and hear people you didn't know humming "Eye of the Tiger" etc... And then burst out laughing.
The person doing the humming would figure it out real quick and wham! You just made a new friend, or at least a drinking buddy with bad taste in music.
Ah so it's masochism. I get it now :p

Shadows of the Night by Pat Benetar and California Girls by Katy Perry are two songs that always get stuck in my head after I hear them or someone mentions them. The former I don't mind so much but the latter I just turn down the volume in my brain and think of the music video. :pound:
