this board has paid advertisers, their board names appear in red lettering in the left hand area of their posts. direct links are only allowed to their ads or websites in order to maximize the value of their advertising dollar. similarly with telephone numbers - only theirs are allowed to be shown in full
however, we are allowed to post the last 4 digits of non-advertiser's numbers to allow distinctions to be made between the scores of brittneys, carmens, brooklyns and ambers with whom the industry seems to be infested
the last 4 digits are also useful as a search parameter both on this board and on most of the advertising venues outside of this board
please locate the search function and learn how to use it as some posters here weary of answering questions that have been asked a thousand times before, the answers to which can be located with a simple search on the name or the last 4 digits of the sp's phone number. the search box is located near the top right hand corner of the page

somehow, somewhere, sometime in a universe thousands of light years away, a poster first abandoned the arabic numeral convention of denoting currency amounts (with which we in western society have been keeping track of transactions for thousands of years); that is, a dollar sign (in our case) followed by a numeral in the hundreds column, another in the tens column and a third in the units column
since then that poster's alternative method of denoting dollars has been imperfectly adapted as a form of 'shorthand' on this board; although i fail to see how it could be called shorthand as it commonly requires just as many keystrokes as the normal arabic convention
just to help you understand this arcane system, i will hold my nose and stoop to expain it to you just this once;
the number of hundreds paid in the transaction are indicated by the number of dollar signs shown to the left of the decimal point
the dollar signs therefore are followed by a decimal point
to the right of the decimal point there is a number written using standard arabic that denotes the number of tens
if the transaction required an additional 5 dollars, that would be shown as a second arabic numeral to the right of the decimal point. if that number was a zero, then it is not shown at all
to sum up and give an example:
$650 = $$$$$$.5
another example:
$255 = $$.55
and a third:
$120 = $.2

other posters use the colour of the canadian dollar bills to denote the currency part of the transaction. an example:
$130 = a brown, a green and a purple

still others have quaint names for the bills, so a $20 bill becomes a 'jade canoe' and $120 therefore becomes '6 jade canoes'
i will leave it to the practitioners of these arcane practices to explain the logic behind using them
