Just for the record, I have done business in the Middle East and have some very dear friends. My only complaint is that when the word Israel is brought up, otherwise reasonable caring tolerant people (not all, but most that I have met) turn into the biggest racist bigots I have every met. Regarding the US, they are less irrational. The poeple are "OK", but the government isn't, which is an amazing arguement because the US government is elected by the people and its positions have a strong level, and often a majority, of support.

What the zealots should be thankfull for is that their enemies are far more tolerant than them. For if the United States had the same view of muslims, muslims would quickly become nearly extinct. The US is one of the few nations in the world or even history that has the ability to successfully eradicate them. 2 or 3 thousand strategically placed nukes would be more than enough to do the job. Even Israel, with a couple of hundred nukes, well placed with consideration given to the prevailing winds to cause a far greater amount of deaths due to radioactive fallout, could exterminate most muslims between Morroco and Pakistan. Had Israel had the intentions that radical Islam claims it has and had the US been willing to stand by, the job would have been done 20 years ago.

Thank god the US and Israel are tolerant countries (yes, Israel, for all its faults that I can spend hours expounding, is a tolerant country). Hitler or Idi Amin could only have wished to have the tools available in the US's or Israel's arsenal.

And this is why I see no hypocrasy in the Israeli's having nukes (as they are defensive weapons - the proof is that they have had many opportunities to us them and have not so far) while denying them to Iran, who's leader has publically stated that he wants to exterminate Israel.

1) stop terrorism
2) stop Al-Qaeda
3) save American lives
4) save Israelis
5) stop deaths in Iraq
6) get the message across
7) balance the books
8) restore justice
9) bring back the dead
10) have the deceased acknowledge anything, even his death
11) increase security

It might:
1) recruit more terrorists, especially if you bury him in pig carcasses or other tortures
2) increase religious fervor
3) convert more people to radical Islam
4) hand fanatical clerics another fine piece of propaganda
5) make him happy
