Just because the aboringinals were fucked over in the past, doesn't excuse bad behaviour on their part in the present. Being Drunk on a public bench is one of those bad behaviours. Every one feels so sorry for them, and excuse them for their bad behaviour, and let them get away with shit.
What is more stupid is a CBC report of how an Aboringinal views white men, taking pictures of her fellow Aboringinals passed out on a bench. There is no question they are passed out. why, because most Aboringinals if drunk would try to attack the picture takers. But Hey I could be wrong, now I would love to see those picture that were taken... After all a pictures worth a thousand words...... Maybe they are homeless Aboringinals and the local tribe hasn't taken them in yet!!
Thunder Bay has a big hospital and medical care system, the northern reserves do not have. Aboringinals go to Thunder Bay for treatment, and some never leave because of the better pickings. The same thing happens in Wnnipeg, Aboringinals go there for treatment, and some never leave. The local bands usually don't take them in.
I can't blame police to have systematic racism, after dealing with individuals/Aboriginals for years on end. drunk and disorderly.... you eventually start to not feel for them. After over 170 years you fiquire they shouldn't or wouldn't get drunk....
Lets talk about the teen sucide rate on reserves.... kids aren't dumb, most live with relatives because the parents have problems (drug or alcohol), they look at whats going on around them in the community and don't see a future in it for themselves.
Lets talk about the Highway of Tears: Most murders are committed by someone they know. So the reality of who is murdering these Aboringinal women is over 90% likely an Aboringinal. Not some white trucker serial killer (although that might be true too). That whole commision by the federal government was done to allow the familes to cry on the goverments shoulder. The reality is now of the victims family do not trust the RCMP enought to tell them any related facts about their missing person; and therefore no suspect was found.
You see the cycle of mistrust between the white government/men and the Aboringinals.
Your taxes (over 8 billion of it a year (2014)) goes to Aboringnals. Its not all included in the
Crown–Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada,
some of it come from other federal governement agencies. The last few year there has been increased spending for Aboringinals.

This is how much more they are spending on Aboringinals. The dip in the graph around 2012/14 is the years of the Harper government when they put a squash down on payment to Northern Affairs, asking for accountability on where the money goes. Trudeau came in and in 2019 the department is budgeted for over 20 billion... The problem is that no matter how much money the Canadian Government spends on Aboringinals, it will never be enough for them. Any infrastructure they get, eventually it will get worn down due to lack of maintenance or damaged beyond use and expect the government to give them a new toy to destroy.
My bias is how much tax money goes to them. And they need to be accountable for the money given them. A smart tribe or reserve makes sure their kids go to school, finish high school and go on to free university education. Usually the chief and some cronies spend the money on their projects. Have to guess a few of them have bank accounts in tax havens while their reserve sorely needs a water treatment center....
If the Canadian public really wanted to fuck the Aboringinals over, they would cancel the treaties, tell all the Aboringinals they can all be Canadian Citizen, and now they will have to pay land taxes and income tax; just like everyother Canadian Citizen..
STOP PAYING THE ABORINGINALS MONEY. STOP ENABLING THEM....... and maybe someday the federal government will have a balanced budget.
