Shaw out of sync

Why is Shaw HD sooooo out of sound sync?
I have asked a few other people in my area of the north shore and they all say the same thing , it is sooooo bad and sooooo out of sync it is almost unbearable to watch.
The voice sound is a whole word or two ahead of the image.
We call them and they say it is not them it is the station they are getting the feed from, but they are the ones that are the provider that are charging us a huge amount of money for shitty programming and third world service.
Where does the customer go to complain when Shaw tells us to fuk off?
Are others on here in different parts of the lower mainland experiencing the same thing?

I haven't seen any issues, but I'm no on the North Shore.

If you have a Home Theatre Receiver, you can add / remove Audio Delay. If you don't, I don't know what you can do short of phone-beat SHAW.

Do not know what effect this might have on all this in your neighbourhood, but Shaw is in the middle of moving many channels from Analog to Digital. It has screwed with many of the stations I receive, "Station should be available shortly", but never is. I have not noticed any drop in Internet service, but I am on the Business node, which does make a difference.

thanks Browny , but we should not have to join a forum to get answers to Shaws fukked up services.
my internet is good , fast and solid.
my HD and all the channels are good ,
its just the HD channels "sound sync" that sucks.
the sound is a full word ahead. they finish talking and the lips are still moving.... kinda like a lawyer.
i get pissed off and tired of waiting on the phone... i think i will go to the office early one morning and rattle them.

Yep, I've noticed this many times. I called to complain once about a year ago since one particular channel was ridiculously out of sync. They claimed there was no problem on their end and it must have been me. I checked with someone else I knew who also had Shaw and they noticed the problem as well.
I could have pursued it more I guess, but I couldn't be bothered.

I'm out in the Valley and it's freakin' brutal here. Not even HD and several channels are out of sync. Internet slows to a crawl on weekends.
One of their favorite types of customer though, because I can't be bothered to waste my time trying to have it corrected. Been down that road too many times.

it really is such bullshit that we the paying customers have no way of making shaw fix this shitty service. its getting third world and they dont give a rats ass.
what do we do? call the crtc?

They called me and asked the typical 'are you happy with your service' type questions and I took the opportunity to give him shit about the bad sync (in the nicer kind of way). He said he would get tech support to call me and tell me that its my building, pretty much. I'm downtown in an older townhouse and its about a half second out of sync.
