ya i should. but the Doc said its very highly unlikely i caught something since hiv through hetereo sex is like one in 4000. thats what the doctor told me

Hey Joe45, did you mention that the sex was with an Escort?
It's unlikely, but do yourself (and the rest of us) a favour by waiting a bit. You can get a quick HIV antibody test at most clinics which is pretty effective 2-3 weeks after the event. A definitive PCR workup doesn't work until closer to 6 weeks after the event.
Better safe than sorry, eh?
