Anyone go to see Roger Waters last night? I thought the concert was great - listening to the entire Dark Side of the Moon was an experience to be cherished. This guy was being treated like royalty or some person with god-like status, such was the reverence for him.

Damn! I wish I was able to go. Going home, I saw a few people with "Dark Side of the Moon" t-shirts on and I thought for a moment "What's with the Pink Floyd fans?"...then I realized Roger Waters was in town.

Though, I've always been a David Gilmour guy more than a Waters fan, there is no denying that Waters has some great music to listen to (Final Cut being one of my fave albums).

ps....I mean the Gilmour of the past with a full vocal range, not the new Gilmour with the back up singers hiding his loss of his vocal range.

:D What can I say about ...Pink Floyd is One of the Best Rock Group's that I have seen..I saw them do the World Tour of The Dark Side of the Moon.that is when I got hooked and have been ever since. And when I saw them do The Wall in Californa...And seeing the Full Moon as the sunset ...Well you get the picture. So when we do get to see them in is a life time experince to remember......But I do have a trivia ? for all Pink Floyd Fan's....How many Concert's did they do for The Wall....Let's see if you can remember that far back...Have fun and Thank you to Pink Floyd as we will see the Dark Side of The Moon ...One Day:D

I did buy me and my girlfriend tickets for her her birthday, I can't wait! It's the 27th in the 'Peg.

Should be a good party. I seen Pink Floyd sans Roger Waters in 94'. I've never seen so many fucked up people in one place. lol

Saw him last night in Edmonton. I didn't think any band could sound that good in an indoor venue. The Dark side of the Moon was awesome although David Gilmour was noticeably absent on a couple of tracks. All in all, it was a great show.

Roger Waters was awesome in the 'Peg last night. I had great seats and even better company. I almost got high off of the huge cloud from folks who lit up after Dark Side started! It brought forth all kinds of memories from my misspent youth, listening to Floyd after school. I even spotted a prominent local SP in the crowd, though I don't think she saw me. Good times.

I had a fantastic time. (the shit I put my body through, I tell ya)
For me, I always heard this music trying to sleep while my parents partied. It's comforting, although it wasn't then.

At one point, my girlfriend turns to me, and says " I can't even remember my mom's number, can you?"

"No." I say.

When I see a show, there always one song you didn't expect to hear that blows you away, for me it was "Sheep". I love "Animals".

I want to go back.

I couldn't believe it myself-but it really happened...

I agonized over whether to take the night off to go see Roger Waters for months then decided at the last minute and called in sick.Unfortunately I got to GM late and there were no scalpers anywhere to be seen.I got to the ticket window just as it was closing-yes,there were really good singles to be had the day of the show. Not cheap though. The girl reopened for me when I tapped on the window. After forking over my $161.50 I headed into the show. One of the first people I met was a good friend who invited me into his luxury box. He's a very well off guy,a great business contact so I told him I would join the party upstairs after checking out the show from row 10,section 105-very good club seats.I just like to be close to the action!
When I got to my seat, the show broke for intermission.Being close to the floor already,I figured I'd go down to the first row and see if an opportunity presented itself. It did,and without giving away my secret(s),I was able to get onto floor level.I wandered around for a few minutes then took a seat near the sound board at the back. When the lights went down I used my years of accumulated knowledge of crowd psychology and outright subterfuge until, yes, believe it PERB-ites,yours truly was front row center at one of the best concerts in this town in a long time. The music and emotion washed over me wave after wave.I was transported to another world. The Great Gig in the Sky was in and out of me.It was more than music.Heaven on Earth, really.
When the show was over I was physically and emotionally drained.I'm still on the high,a week later.Maybe I'll never come down...don't really want to!
