Got both games right
Crappy wifi here in Bkk ate most of my post so I was brief.
All season my gut feeling was Bills over Chiefs but did some rdg..saw they were only 5-4 on the road.
Went with history..Bills are 4-0 vs KC in regular season but Chiefs are now 4-0 in post-season.
Rematch of 2 yrs ago,s/b a great SB!

Have been seeing online that some people are claiming the NFL is rigged. Don’t believe it myself but apparently some questionable calls during the KC game. Didn’t watch it myself.

Yes,the tin-foil hat brigade are convinced it's all fixed.
They're also convinced the world is flat, lol

Super Bowl tomorrow, who do you like?

I think Eagles can win if they can establish a ground game with Barkley, chew up clock and keep Mahomes off the field.
If Chiefs can limit Barkley{ain't gonna stop him}they s/b able to put up pts.
Chiefs were 15-2, regular season, with 11 of the 15 W's being one-score, so they weren't as dominant as 15-2 would make us believe.
That said, they just keep finding ways to win(and I'm not referring to the ridiculous conspiracy theories of ref bias, games rigged, etc.
I'll leave that to the tin-foil wizards,lol)
I think Chiefs might have an edge in coaching, with Reid,Nagy and Spagnoulo able to adjust to various scenarios.
Eagles are a great team, but I can't go against Mahomes, so picking KC to win a squeaker.

It would be an extraordinary accomplishment if the Chiefs find a way to 3-peat.

Playoffs teams this year are super strong and stacked with talent. Getting past the Bills was no easy feat.

It’s going to come down to execution, on both sides of the ball. So much is made of the offenses. But championships often come down to defences. On this point, Spags has the Chiefs D dialed up.

Go Chiefs!!!

No tin hat, but KC does seem to get some very favourable calls in most of the games I have watched.

That doesn't take away from their talent and Maholmes seems to find ways to just make shit happen when most QB's would be out of it.

I hope the Eagles win, and it's a fair game. If it hinges on some stupid call(s) and KC wins because of them, then it will be time to find other sports to follow.

Hoped for a better game. Full points to Hurtz and the Eagles for a full on dominant performance. Well done for a city who usually finds a way to choke. Not this time. Biggest surprises: Barclay was a non-factor. Mahomes sucked. Hurtz rocked.

Half time was the worst fucking shit I’ve ever seen passed up as entertainment. (Except for the chick in the maroon leather with some actual vocal talent). God, who picked that douchebags to perform?

Bit of a let down to a good year of football. Happens, but good on the Eagles for delivering a complete game.

Watched the game with my usual pack of distinguished gents, of course the 10 lbs of pulled pork, seemingly unlimited plates of short ribs, wings and slaw, and lively conversation was on par with the game and its "entertainment value".
None of us expected the Eagles to completely dominate the game. Their D line - a 4 man rush - owned the KC line and backfield. Our consensus was that was the dominating factor.
And that half time whatever the fuck that was. Apparently this kendrick lemar is a big deal. If that is a big deal I really feel sorry for whomever listens to that shit.
Oh and I missed hearing the stadium boo the convicted rapist felon but apparently that happened.

Super Bowl had a record # of viewers..amazing when so many said they were boycotting the game.Eagles totally dominated in all areas.
as champs they're the team to beat in 2025...probably Detroit being their main threat in NFC?
As for KC,I think they'll contend for AFC, along with Bills and Ravens.
If Rashee Rice recovers from knee surgery he and Xavier Worthy give Mahomes 2 deep threats, which should make for exciting viewing.

Canada leading Sweden 2-1 as I write...have to think US is the team to beat in this tournament?
The break should give teams time for injuries to heal, makes for a strong finish and push for playoffs.

the start of Canada-US was like WWE.....reminded me of yrs ago, 04-05 lockout yr..I was in Montreal watching a minor league(not AHL, it was independent I think)
well,I don't even know if the puck dropped before everyone on the ice was scrapping.
order restored and, reprise!as puck drops another brawl erupts.
About 30 minutes passed before the game was 2 seconds old!penalty boxes had more guys than the players benchs..
I think Donald Brashear was in the league, but not on one of the teams I saw.

the common thought is US will play winner of Canada-Finland, but...there's a remote scenario where Sweden could be in the Final.
I'm not smoking anything, so stay with me...
IF Canada-Finland goes to OT, the winner ends up with 4 pts
IF Sweden upsets US they end up with 5 pts and 2nd place.

the 1st IF is a real possibilty and, if it's Canada, would open up speculation(and conspiracy theory) about US throwing the night game, preferring to face Sweden than Canada in the Final.
I personally think the US would be going 100% regardless of the scenario at hand.

I think Canada beats Finland but loses to US in the Final.Hate to say it and hope I'm wrong.

From my incredibly comfortable couch, watching the game, breaking at end of period 1 to enjoy a fine bbq'd cheese burger and ranch fries, I would say, the US defence was better than the Canadian offence. That first US goal should have been stopped but goal was always pointed out as THE weak link in the Canadian team. Of course not having two of the best D-men played a part. The second US goal was a DIRECT result of that fucked up pass attempt that Crosby made across the slot in the US end. As it happened, I thought well FUCk.

And I can see why the Canucks really wanted to get rid of Miller, the guy is an asshole regardless of his playing ability.

the Canada-US game is well covered in another thread, so I'll just say I was very happy to be wrong...I thought US would win mainly on better goaltending.
However, WINnington cam up big in the crunch.

I think it was Matthews who left McDavid totally uncovered?

elsewhere, the Jays and Guerrero couldn't agree on a deal and he'll likely walk to a winning franchise(hello LA?} at season's end.

I just stumbled on women's rugby sevens on TSN right now. I have no idea what's going on but it's kinda entertaining.

the rugby didin't get much coverage that I was aware of, but its followers know. They get into it with apparel, etc, shades of Halloween.
Seems a fun crowd, unlike some others.
