I dunno what happened tonight, this ralf guy seems to jump out of nowhere and trolling through all the boards. I am not very interested in discussing who he/she could be. However; it does bring up a question. What can the mods do about this type of activities? Like ralf said himself, so what if mod bans him? He can simply sign up with another handle and start posting again?
I would assume that ralf is only 1 person, imagine if there is 2-3 troll who stick together and does the same thing? What can the management do?

Can't membership be somewhat determined by an IP address so only one IP can sign up for membership? Just a thought. I'm not that good with the whole IP thing. But I thought that could be done.

Yes and no.

Yes, a member can be identified by his/her IP address.

No, IP cant realy do anything in this case.

1) First of all, most of the internet connection available on the market offers dynamic ip (which means your ip will change from time to time).

2) One can certainly use a proxy server(ie you hide your ip address). Most of the famous proxy server are fairly easy to identify. However; there is probably a billion of free proxy server out there. You dont even need a fast proxy server, since you are only posting texts.

3) What if one chooses to access the internet from a public place? For instance, if someone trolls around using internet access @ the vancouver public library(most institution/business uses static ip, meaning the you will always have the same ip address). Do you ban that ip?

Wow. I think Ralf has an award winning personallity. Anybody who knows him should be honored to be within 6 feet of him. I'm sure every lady who has read his whitty and charming responses to every last topic, would throw her panties on the floor for this guy. He's all class. 3rd class, but all class none the less.
He seems rather bitter. Maybe he has run out of Astroglide and has had to resort to useing butter to polish his rod. Maybe his award winning personallity has caused him to have to pay double time and a half when visiting an SP. I don't know what the case may be, but I'm thinking Ralf needs to get laid. With a partner this time.
