I know , I know......he has many more years on rock solid contract and we are stuck with him , so shut the fuk up.
I love the rest of the team , but there has to be a way in the goalie graveyard to bury this RED LIGHT?
Somehow Gillis has to figure a way to pack his ass onto a oneway bus trip to Florida.

this should get interesting with all the "Lou lovers" and all the "takes a whole team bullshit"

I love Luongo, but sometimes it seems like he doesn't have the heard (Hart?) in him. Either this is just his typical October/November or...put Scheider in as I like him a lot as well.

If Corey Schneider keeps playing and winning, I don't think Vigneault would have much issue giving him more games than previously expected. It's in the coaches best interest to win and retain his own job.

someone asked me last year what I thought about Gillis and the team he assembled and I said they will be judged by how they handle getting rid of Luongo. He has to go and the way to do it is to package him and an asset to get nothing in return. Someone like Kesler, or Bieksa or a group of players like Hansen, Hodgson and Hamhuus. It won't be cheap to get him out of town. Gillis needs to do it or it will be his ass.

Gillis "Hey Luongo, can you join me in my office...............yeah we would like to trade you"

Luongo "Oh"

Gillis "Yeah we are looking to send you along with Kesler to Florida, in return for a couple later round picks"

Luongo "Oh"

Gillis "Yeah, we wanted to send you alone, but they needed Kesler for free to sweeten the deal........can I get you to sign your NTC please..."

Kesler: Sorry Mr. Gillis but it seems to me that you have forgotten I have a NTC as well. Nice try though...

Does anyone think that the goalie coach Rollie Melanson should take some of the blame? I heard he also ruined the performance of other goalies such as Jose Theodore and Cary Price.

On the bus? How about under it? Along with Gillis (for signing him to the 12 year deal) and V...

The only legacy Gillis will leave behind is that #$@! deal.

They could always send him to the minors and go with Schneider and Lack... But they just aren't that smart.

All of this is a moot point as nothing will be done as long as GM Place keeps selling out.

Canucks will never do this but they can ship him to the minors then recall. Have another team pick him up paying only half his salary. Just consider a 2.8 mill or whatever year loss.

anyone know how his payday is set up?
i think its 8-10 mill , but how much of that is actually on the cap hit and how much in bonus ,etc.
if he did get sooooo bad and was totally brain damaged and having mental nervous breakdowns and agreed to waive his no trade contract ,
could we not trade him and pick up half his salary of x amount?
if gillis was cunning and smart he would talk with Florida and let Lou's wife know about it.... she would make him sign as she hates vancouver.
and that maybe one of his BIG problems , he is away from her and family and she wont live here. So he is pussy whipped and jacking off and or fukking some of the gals on here.

Unfortunately, Mike Milbury is not the GM in Florida and you sound like his cousin.

hey... here's an idea - ship him to florida, then dig ole bure out of retirement, and put together a team based on has-beens and losers. i mean both very good players on some nights - but jeez, talk about high maintenance

So it was a close game .. That means both teams and goalies are doing there job . One wins one losses that is the game .. It is the reason i don;t like sports .

The reality is the Canucks can build a team on one man .. good or bad .. the team has to stop the shoots from even happening . THAT IS MY OPINION ANY WAYS .

Rangers are lighting up Luongo tonight. 3 - 0 in the third with lots of time left :(

Two great shots beat him stick side. IMHO he didn't have a chance on either one. The first goal was glove side from a trailing shooter in the slot. Also a tough one to stop.

Luongo gave up 4 goals in 3rd period!!! I have tickets to the game against Capitals, but am not sure I want to go since Ovechikin will have fun scoring against Luongo.......

Only way to save us all is if luongo has a major injury and retires early. We'll be stuck with him for the next 8+ years.

Who would want Luongo? Way overpaid. Watched the game with Edmonton tonight, Luongo stunk the place up as usual. I'm sure that many of the Canucks are getting close to a "Why Bother?" mentality. It doesn't matter how well they play, Luongo is going to lose the game for them. So, why risk injury by skating hard?

ps Sami Salo won the game with an overtime goal

Here's hoping he's only off to his usual slow start.

After the third goal the camera showed Vigneault looking towards Luongo with daggers in his eyes. I can understand Vigneault being pissed after the game seemed so heavily tilted in Vancouver's favor.

Looks like Luongo's been missing his regular walks along the seawall as of late. :) Luongo will be back soon. After the first 5 games of the BC Lions, almost everyone gave up on Wally, where are they now in the standings??
