Punctuality

I'm very anal for punctuality in my personal life. I like to know exactly when the person is coming so I may be downstairs for them. Sometimes the elevator in my building takes awhile so I head down early and play with my iPhone while I'm waiting for them. Now when someone says they'll be at my place in a half hr, and doesn't come til 1hr later, how is that acceptable without even a phone call or a text message to let me know?

The excuse used in this situation was that guy hasn't dated much and doesn't know how to deal with girls. Um, wouldn't that be general courtesy regardless of sex?

When that happens, if the person is 15min or later, I don't go down at all and when they arrive I tell them to leave.

I'm a very busy person and HATE waiting. I do not think it takes much effort to text a person when they are going to be running late.

5 min you can blame on traffic or poor directions. A half hour is just ignorance. Only doctors can get away with making you wait that long

Anything up to 10-15 minutes late can be excusable depending on the circumstances (although when getting closer to 15 minutes, you should phone or text). Anything beyond that without so much as a phone call is just plain rude.

I ALWAYS give myself plenty of time to get to where I am going, just in case of any problems (accidents backing up traffic, etc.). If I arrive early, I will get a coffee or go for a short walk. But on the rare occasion that I am late, I for sure call to let the person know that I am running late.
