Lol, Trump’s racist tirade was all a distraction away from mainstream news on his close buddy Epstein. It sure worked !!
In due time the state of New York will be the owner of Trump Tower.....
I am going to go out on a limb here by saying that you must be getting a fair amount of CNN in your daily news coverage.

The Uyghurs in China are being detained in concentration camps by the millions. The ISIL and Rebels in Syria are killing Alawites. Yet one president and his loose twitter comment gets the whole world going.
Shitty things have been going on in China and the Middle East for decades. The US is supposed to be a beacon of hope and an example for the world to follow. If that's not true anymore, the American government should just come out and say it, instead of that "greatest country in the world" stuff.

Funny... a true leader will bring people/nations together during good times, as well as challenging times.... Trump is a coward... look it up.

The integrity of a man can be judged by how he treats people he has absolutely nothing to gain from.

When the economy shifts, we are entering dangerous times....
Trump likes to bring everything out from the darkness into the light. The Federal reserve, Deep State coverups, sex trafficking, human trafficking, and in this case the radical new face of the Democratic Party. Nancy Pelosi has now been put in a position of having to defend these four radicals when a few days earlier she was condemning them.

Now of course they have a new reason to try and impeach Trump. Then we can hear all the comments the radicals made about being anti-Semitic, supporting Al Qaeda and anti-American rhetoric, from elected officials, no less.

It’s really too bad that the politicians can’t get down to working together for what’s good for the country.

I find Trump refreshing as he has the balls to say out loud what the majority of white Americans are really thinking.

In softness, strength.
Canadian immigration policy is multi-culturalism.

American immigration policy is assimilation and cultural homogeneity.

Don't use Canadian values to judge Americans. What happens in their country is their business and their President.
So you're saying I'm not allowed to have an opinion on "their country or their president"
What are you talking about? Racism is Racism pal. Regardless of "assimilation" or multi-culturalism.
It's immigration in either respect of what value you put on it being from an American standpoint
or Canadian.
Btw, who are you to tell me that what happens in their country is their business?
It would seem if you hadn't noticed, that this is what this thread is about.
I'm making a comment about it. Sorry if you can't stomach it.

Move on then.

There's a difference about caring for racism - Lamenting that all racism is bad - and just trashing Trump. The latter is hardly enlightenment. It makes for a lazy dissident who eschew reality and prefer to immerse himself with the tomfoolery of could-bes.

Using Canadian values - Ones built on tolerance and respect - to judge Americans - Who pride themselves on brutal assimilation and American exceptionalism since day one, is moronic. It's like telling Turkish people honor killing is bad. They're not gonna listen, and you're stupid for trying.

The funny part about this is that none of you actually really care about racism. All you care about is trashing Trump because it's the fashionable thing to do.

The Uyghurs in China are being detained in concentration camps by the millions. The ISIL and Rebels in Syria are killing Alawites. Yet one president and his loose twitter comment gets the whole world going.

It is absolutely irresponsible to prize feel good, simplistic messages over complex history and to treat consumerist-consciousness raising as interchangeable with education.

Crack a book. Travel the world. And stop being glued to news and TV. If you care, do something about it by killing Trump. If you can't, make the world around you a better place by example. Failing that, shut up.
Do something about it by killing trump??? You are losing or lost it.
just thought I would add before you raise your hackles again, you should lend your advice
to trump himself by making the world around him a better place instead of giving the posters here
that very advice. It would seem by Trump himself on tv saying what he does he makes
himself look to be the one who invented shoving his foot in his own mouth.
Or take your own advice and failing that, shut up yourself.

I gotta hand it to you nightswisper you do take a page outta the trump playbook and use it to
perfection. Deflect and distract. Then ATTACK!! You do it well.

You don't care about racism. You care about trashing Trump.
Dead WRONG!!!! you obviously can not see the relevance of what racism is
to accuse me of just wanting to trash trump. Let the man speak of tolerance and exceptance
and then let's see if I trash the man. Definately not.

I trash racist speaking or xenophobic talk as any tolerant or respectful person under stands it.

Maybe you don't understand the very meaning of racism. Whether it's an American exceptionalism or brutal
assimilation as you stated. IT's RACISM, plain and simple.
I'm done with this man.

If you're against racism why are you on a forum talking about it? There are plenty of protests you can join and do some real work. Maybe rescue some prisoners from Chinese detention camps.

I guess I'm just not understanding why words speak louder than actions in your case, and why one parameter of racism from Trump (who can't act upon his tweets like most people seem to suggest) seems to overshadow the reality of racism in other countries.

Classic troll behaviour from a really top notch troll: say something obnoxious or inexcusable, and when called out on it claim it was a "metaphor". Usually a troll will claim it was "just a joke", and weave in an insult or the offended party's oversensitivity.

It is surprising that his suggestion of killing someone has evaded moderation.

What I don't understand is why anyone thinks that engaging with this troll serves any purpose whatsoever - just ignore the ravings and at some point I do believe he'll start attacking himself!

There are countries far more racist than the U.S.. However, they are not multicultural and while they choose to be racist the people they dislike typically do not live in their country. Canada and the United States are two large multicultural societies. They take very different approaches to their citizens background. The United States is very white male european centered. Really hasn't changed much in 250 years.

I just got back from China.

You want to know what racist is.

Was in Saudi Arabia earlier this year. How about talking (just talking) in public about transgender or non-binary.

Even South America, Russia, Korea etc would make any Social Justice Warrior sweat with fear (or delight). I’m not suggesting we abandon our movement towards a kinder tomorrow. I’m just saying that a lot of places make the US seem like pussycats.

I’m not a fan or politics mostly because the discussions wind up much like this one. Everyone is going to have an opinion and feel compelled to their point of view for good reason to them.

What if we lived in a world with no politics? How about that?

Anyway while it’s easy to talk smack, we still love in one of the more privileged areas of the globe. Selfishly so long as I am able to prosper I have little to care, contribute or involve myself with politics.
