Was heading to a friends place this evening, heading down 118th ave. As I approached 66th street I noticed some protesters outside of Escape and Relax. Just got a quick look as I drove by, but there were 6 or 7 of them, holding signs saying this was just another form of prostitution, and something complaining about City licenses. Place understandly didn't look to busy. So the girls there better hope they don't persist. Certainly hope it doesn't spread to other places, especially places I actually go. Haven't been in Edmonton forever so don't know if this has happened before, or a completly neww thing.

Seriously ??

This could be bad for the edmonton mp scene ... even if protestors go to more then these two parlors ... it could easily send a rippling affect threw out the whole city.

well

There are alot of these parlours in the city... some just dont advertise but yes there are 41-45 in edmonton last time I renewed my licence they said there were 44... but that was last year... so 41 sounds about right :)

I dont think it will have a rippling affect. It will be fine.

I agree Alyson. I think there may be a problem for ones closer to residential areas but the ones in commercial a/o industrial areas should not be affected. I think the protesters need a life anyway. There is no way that the MP's have the same negative effect in their residential areas as the street trade

I agree I'd rather live between two MP's than on a corner with street walkers.

Not all MPs are listed in the Sun.

I also watched on TV a couple of weeks ago how some people in the area of 124 Street thought that Rhytm Massage was bad for their neighborhood. Even someone claimed to have found a condom nearby. These kinds of protest will continue to happen once in a while. But these people have to realize that these kinds of businesses are a reality and they are much safer and quieter than many other business, let alone street walkers.

The See Magazine shows a much larger list of available MP's in the city because their advertsing costs are lower.

Last time I counted in the See there where 38.

Seems not all are listed on their site.

Sure, as if you're going to wear it out to your car and then toss it out the window.
