Ever get the feeling that when you search for an item on a website that the search engine for that site is really fucked up. Some sites---- Cdn tire, home depot, staples, etc

My latest search was for ink on fountain pens. I have a fountain pen that needs new ink. But the cartridges have some numbers on them and they contain different colour of inks. I first assumed that the numbers were colours of ink, but I have different colour and same number. So google search and all I get are ink refils on Amazon or some other company, but nothing that explains the different numbers, even the manufacturers site.

So instead I try a search of general stores that would carry fountain pens. Different searches of ink, refill, fountain pen, etc.

Still no answers for the numbers on the ink refills.

I agree. Especially bad is Amazon search. Let's say I want to search a very specific item like 27" LCD with 4K resolution. It doesn't matter what keywords I use, the search result will show multiple sizes with diferent resolutions. Then I have to use filters to further narrow it down. "You may be interested in similar item" is quite annoying. What they need is an option to search exactly what I'm looking for, so this would cover people that are just trying to browse what's available, and people who want to look for specific item.

Google is your friend but still somehow I am not finding the thing I am looking for. Mind you that what I usually look for is parts, and todays world its a replacement of the whole idealogy.
