Privacy concern?

I recently had an appointment with a girl at an agency I frequent, everything went splendid. I have seen atleast 6 girls at said agency and never have had issues.
However, the day after the appointment, I get a follower request on instagram from a 20 something year old girl, confused, I browsed her profile and see she has quite a few photos with the girl I had seen the day prior at the agency, they appear to be besties.
My instagram is private and quite low followers, im not on any dating apps or anything that would be connected to my instagram , I have no mutual followers with this woman, and I dont know any girls in the city in that age cohort.
To add to this, the agency I booked her with is one of the ones that requires you to use your real phone number, its the only place I dont book using either an email or texting app.
The only way I could imagine she could have found my instagram is through my phone number which is connected to my instagram, but for that to be the case, the handler or someone at the agency would have had to give her access to my phone mumber.

Am I being paranoid? or is there another explanation?
I feel like this is a pretty big violation of my privacy.

Did you granted Instagram access to your contacts? Did the handler did? Is the handler the 20 something woman?

Well, first things first... If you use your real phone number linked to your Instagram and the one you used to book with the agency, then yeah there's a high chance of that happening. Ultimately, we trust whoever we hand over that phone number, but it is not really rocket science to figure out who's who as long as you get the number. Let's pretend the handler gave it to the girl, nothing is stopping them from connecting with you, so that's a risk always. You cannot always trust anyone not to hand out your number to anybody, so you always have to be vigilant whoever has that phone number. Also, if you have named your social media sort of obvious then they can find out as well even without the phone number. There are skilled people who specializes with that kind of thing.

Another thing is, are you really sure the 20 something year old girl is connected to the SP? Are you 100% positive that they are well-connected in a way? If yes, then that's the only explanation I can think of... Your number got into the SP's hands and then her friend's hands. How... well, maybe they asked the handler. But let me ask you this, what stops them from asking the handler your number? Nothing. It's the same with booking with independent SPs, really; same concept they have your number.

Do you think she is stalking you? She probably likes you, that's what I read from it, lol.

Also, just to add, Meta knows when your phone is near each other. So Meta has the data that you and the SP spent some time together and Meta also has the data about the SP and the other girl chatted or spent time together very near to when you and the SP spent time together.

With this data in place, it’s highly likely that Meta suggested you, or did something that the other girl saw you, and then she put out a friend request to you.

This kind of thing happens all the time.

first of all relax. im sure stuff like this happens all the time, she probably has tracked down other guys she has seen before. turn off any location settings that your instagram may have. woman are like FBI agents, they can find your social media even with just a first name. she probably doesnt care that much, and if you just move on she will forget about you, she probably has a ton of guys throwing themselves at her daily.

If you dont want something like this to happen again, either just exclusively stick to providers/ agencies who accept email and text apps (which is the majority of them) , or get a burner phone or sim card from 711. you can always just get a burner phone and start fresh with that agency this happened at.

and again, she will probably forget about it in a few weeks anyways, so I wouldnt get stressed out about it.

no i did not. I doubt the handler is the woman since the 20 year old woman is new to the agency and the agency has been around for years, its one of the bigger ones.

I would assume the 20 year old is connected to the SP since they have about 5 posts together , one with the caption "besties" and the SP was in her instagram story partying with her the day she added me haha

im getting a burner phone now.

now ive slept on it im not too concerned.

just gonna make sure im more careful in the future.
