right here and now
I'm not sure why it even needs to be asked if one takes transit to hook up with an SP.
Who gives a fuck, really, how someone else gets from A to B?
And whether it is affordable to see an SP when earning a minimum wage?
Again- who gives a fuck, really, how someone else affords to pay for their activities.
You can- or you can't. You do- or you don't.

Who would want to wash and reuse them? That's crazy! All those memories down the drain...
I was discussing this very point with a SP not so long ago (based on Stephen Colbert discussion of this topic on The Late Show). We agreed that the only way we could see someone reusing condoms was if:
1) they were very financially strapped
AND
2) they were using condoms strictly for birth control and not for disease prevention (in other words, they were regular sex partners and had no other sexual partners that they used the recycled condoms with).

Even then we agreed it would be pretty weird. I do wonder what the neighbours would say when they hung them up on the clothesline to dry :)

Agree with Elsi, you would be surprised how many come by public transit and I am not very transit accessible. Many times I have givent the route, Canada Line to Richmond center, then 30 min bus ride to nearest intersection to me and then a 2 min walk. Its a 8 min cab ride from Richmond center and about $12 but many will save it with 30 min on the bus. I like to have a cool drink waiting when they have gone through that much trouble to come and see me and give them some time to unwind from their travels.

Guests arriving on bicycles is also a common occurrence. Sometimes their only means of transportation and sometimes because they are just out doing their weekly physical activity they enjoy.

Reasons are mixed. Cheap, frugal, prefer to spend the money on important things, just used to using public transport their entire life. I don't discriminate lol. I do appreciate when someone goes through that amount of effort to make a visit :)
Personally Bicycle and transit is an awesome way to get around.

Richmond centre to Riza's place 12-15 min bike ride.

I usually ride home to Metrotown after that.
:)

Still lost in the '60s
This old fart has several issues with regard to this discussion...

1) I'm a bit transportationally challenged, as I most often don't have access to a motorcar.
2) I'm also time-challenged. I don't like investing an hour of my time sitting in a train carriage or an omnibus to travel to and fro.
3) With thrifty Scottish genes in my blood, I tend to be a cheap sonofabitch, and finally...
4) When you're as old as I am, a 40-year old "auntie" seems like a spring chicken.

That's why I'm still miffed that Monica moved from walking distance to half-way-across-townsville.

Driving in downtown Vancouver is torture.
I stay around Fraser and 28th and bus it from there.
It's pretty slow going downtown, but I prefer driving down there than on that freeway

His moniker was "Hattrick" and he had some of the best posts one here. He did find some interesting SP's.
