That is amazing! Wonder when this area will see a championship?
Vancouver Whitecaps, 2008 USL first division Champs.

I know it's not a Superbowl or a Stanley Cup, but it's worth noting. ;)

BTW, how long til BJH shows up and tells us all that the Penguins have always been his favorite team and he saw this coming all along?

BJH predicted Detroit in 7

I don't think he'll jump on the Pens bandwagon* now.

Penguins were lucky. Outshot 13-2 in the last 30 min of the game. Spent the last 10 min of the second period and the entire third period being swarmed in their own zone. Fleury was awesome.

Battered and bruised Wings team, and they came within a crossbar and a last-second desperate save of forcing OT - which they probably would have won.

Most entertaining finals in a long time, though.

Sid the Kid a winner at 22 - wow. Malkin the first Russian MVP.

I am glad talbot saved the day and not crybaby crosby. I have nothing against the pens, I like malkin a lot but not a crosby fan. I wish the capitals took out the pens a few rounds ago.

Very good game , exciting to the last 1/2 second.
howevers , the most funny interesting thing is the BOOING of the guy Bettman. I was thinking theys booing Penguins and thinks this is just low class act. I knows this Bettman is asshole and all hates him but cannot get someone else to present cup?

problem with detroit was that after game 5's 5-0 score, they pretty much thought their name was already on the cup. much like the 2008 new england patriots they forgot that they still had to officially win that final game. i love the red wings, i don't hate the penguins so so now let's focus our attention to the los angeles lakers where kobe will finally emerge as a champion on his own.

.

That's funny, I could have swore he was on a team. This whole did it on his own talk is laughable. Could have swore Fisher hit the 3 pointer to put the game into overtime and not Kobe. People get too caught up in BS.
well obviously he has a team. this is to silence the critics.

for the record hubba, and while i'm explaining everything in detail to you - there's no point in getting emotional over your team winning or losing cuz at the end of the day you have no control over it. we talk about it cuz we like sports, and there is a certain bias to everybody's opinion.

Lucky??? Please, good goaltending is part of the equation. You could say bad goaltending cost them the games they lost. It goes both ways. Bottom line is the Pens stepped up and got it down. This whole youngest captain to win a cup is a pile of crap. Who really cares. Bottom line is Malkin is the man on that team....believe it! He is the best player in the NHL period!
No offensive pressure for 30 minutes. Spent 1.5 ENTIRE periods in their own zone.

Great goaltending, yes.

Still lucky.

You're deadly wrong, dear ;) Not a bandwagon like you.

I'm a Canucks fan, believe it or not, you guys probably don't understand english, i've been preaching this along. As well as the unknowledgeable fans who like the Sedin Sissies & Bobby Lou so much that they think they're the best thing since sliced bread.

And how they thought this team would go all the way to the finals. Oh please. This franchise is cursed. Ever since we lost the coin toss back in 1971 ;)

I thought the Wings would win for sure at home, all the signs were leading to that;

1. Wings won the first 2 home games...what was that stat, 99% of those went on to win the Cup.

2. When they were up 3-2 in the series...

3. After winning 5-0 in Game 5...

even the BJH can be wrong, but not about the BW, KN, CH and good CS (Cocksuckers!) :p

It's a good year for Pennsylvania sportswise. The Phillies, The Steelers, and

Add the Hershey Bears winning the Calder Cup.

Pardon my English but in what universe do you fit the definition of a fan?

Those of us who do understand English are perfectly clear on the fact that you are not a fan. Wilde's definition above is proof of that.

You would rather see them lose, so you can come online and gloat about it, than actually see them succeed.

As for me being a Bandwagon Fan, give me a break. I've been critical of the team and some of the decisions that have been made in regards to personnel, and coaching, but I have never wished for anything but success for the Canucks, through good times and bad. That's what a fan is.

You're the type of douchbag that will hope they fail for 8 months, but then drive around with a car-flag honking your horn the day they finally do win the cup. The very definition of Bandwagon Loyalty.
