There is no doubt that alot of info can be found on perb, this includes phone numbers of SPs posted by other members. Sometimes, after reading some awesome reviews I wanted to see those girls. With the phone number I get from the reviews or other perb members thru PMs sometimes I dont know how to start the conversation with the gal. Should I just simply go "Hi, I got your phone number from perb, would like to arrange a date with you if possible" ? Keep in mind that some SPs are very anti-perb if you know what I am refering to. Moreover, some of those numbers are tossed out without the girl's consent, maybe they dont want to be advertised thru perb.

Whats the general approach to this problem?

I thought it was PERB's policy to not allow the posting of phone numbers, addresses, etc. unless they're already published somewhere else, such as Escorts-Canada, local papers, etc. Many such posts on PERB have been edited by mods to delete this type of info.

So, there should be no need to mention PERB at all when calling a lady for a possible appointment, even if you saw the number here first.

However, it's also a good idea for a reviewer to either post a link to a lady's online ad or mention the paper in which it appears, as the case may be. That way, a caller can say he obtained her number from one of those sources if he doesn't want to mention PERB.

They know what you want when you call, so you do not have to make small talk, or provide references (but they may not accept calls from pay phones or blocked numbers).

If they ask where you got the number, say a friend and leave it at that. Or, better yet if you know where they adverstise, give that info. Otherwise, never volunteer extra information.

Just jump right in and ask your questions, without being too explicit of course.

Good luck.

Personally, I'm not anti-perb, but I am anti-bullshit. I always resented the callers who would drop the perb name before the fact, as it was usually done in the context of "I write reviews on perb, so what's my rate again?". That's tacky. I even had one well known poster tell me he would write a stellar review for me if I gave him a free session. Thats even more tacky, because he didn't seem concerned about whether or not the session would be stellar, just as long as it was free....nice. Do your research, find out where else her contact info is and state that as your source, if you are even asked. Keep perb and all other review boards out of it. Not knowing beforehand who the posters are keeps the provider motivated to give every client top notch service, just in case. IMHO

well, apparently i do see alot of phone numbers being tossing around perb in regardless of the policy. There was this other tread about trading phone number thru PM...

On TERB and MERB, unpublished phone numbers are often deleted by mods. PM's are a different story. There's nothing stopping anyone from exchanging contact info that way.

You could say...

"Hi, my name is Shak. I am calling about your services. What can you tell me?"

or

"Hi, my name is Shak. I'd like to book an appointment with you. Can you tell me what is involved?"

or

"Hi, my name is Shak. I may be interested in spending time with you. May I ask a few questions?"

You may offer to tell her where you received her information...

ie:

"Hi, my name is Shak. I saw a few great reviews of you on perb..." or " I am calling about your ad in (such and such) paper..."

or

"Hi, my name is Shak. I am calling about the ad you have posted on the internet..."

When I get a call from a gentleman who says he is calling about the ad in the local paper I assume he has not seen photos/ad with rates etc... which leads me into my dialogue about my looks and services and prices.

If he mentions the internet and/or perb I know I can save my breath and get on to better things of flirting and booking since he has seen photos and/or rates and/or services offered.

If he mentions he got my number from a "friend" * I usually chuckle and generally do not take him very serious after that assuming it's bullshit because not many of my clients would share information about me with their "friends". And when they do share such information it has always been the original client asking me first if it's ok if he has his friend/associate or 'what have you' call me. In which case I expect a call as such.

I suggest you be honest.

Give the lady an indication of what you already know so she can fill in the blanks accordingly. I do not believe in providing a different level of service to 'perb' members nor do I have different offers/rates for different clients based on the ad they see.

Having said that, I do advertise and participate here and therefore know my number is out there. For the ladies who perhaps do not, you may need to tread lightly. But keep in mind, they are in the business and will get calls from strangers. They must expect that.

Bottom line. Doing what will make the lady feel most comfortably should work in your favor. And this means, avoid the use of explicit language and be polite but to the point.

(* "Friend" can mean an aquaintance on perb. I have made a mental note.)

So, why don't you out this "well known poster"? I, for one, would like to know who's reviews arent worth the bandwith they take up.
