Peter McKay Is Very Popular

He may be very unpopular in this community but he has a lot of support. We should not assume that if we do not like him, nobody else does either. There are lots of idiots out there with their own agendas.

he is a smart politician and knows how to manipulate an emotional voter issue

Harper probably threw him to the wolves with this portfolio and assignment but McKay is proving quite resilient.

Not a popular outcome for this community but a shrewd politician at work.

Ultimately will be up to the supreme court in the end to determine if it works with our constitution but outcome is not what McKay is after. Popularity with voters is what he is after. (and does not care who he hurts to get it)

I still think we are all discussing the wrong issue. McKay is not only after prostitutes because he doesn't want to deal with that side of our community but he is after promiscuity in all it's forms. Bill C36 is putting every occurrence of intercourse under federal inspection. It is not limited to the corner hooker. We are going to see our privacy sexually totally invaded by moral cops who will now have the power to demand to know if someone benefited from the act. We haven't seen anything yet. You are correct McKay is clever. He and Harper are going to use this act to get us all in line morally with their principals. Look at the wording. It doesn't say the act is about hookers. It makes everyone in this country either a hooker or a criminal if you so much as give your date a stick of gum then screw her.

Some other girl ..or guy doesn't like it and they will start saying she's a hooked and he payed for sex..
And on top of it the transaction might have taken place in the school..
