Going through my home office today and decided I need to do something with the task lighting. I have a couple of halogen strips overhead but don't like them on for an extended period as they tend to through a ton of heat. I've got a floor lamp in one corner and a halogen on the opposite corner of my desk. Works alright but find that as I'm getting older (fuck that sucks) and if I've read a lot my eyes tire out and I get grumpy(er). Took a look at a lighting shop today and they recommended Ott-Lite. The sales chick had some long drawn out spiel about how its full spectrum and closest to natural light, blah blah blah. Maybe its just hard to tell in a showroom FILLED with lights that one is any different than the other but it just looked like another fluorescent lamp.
Would be nice to get some input from someone who owns the technology before I drop $200 on a desk lamp.
