Is it just me or is every on-air radio and TV " personality" in Vancouver a gung-ho supporter of the Winter Olympics.

Although I was not an advocate for bringing the Games here, still am not, and doubt I will be even during the Games it is now a forgone conclusion that the gov't will do everything in it's power to insure the world sees our city in only the most positive light. Screw anyone who opposes them. Resistance is indeed futile.

I wasn't for the games either, and still think it was a bad idea, and only got worse with the current world economy.

But its here, its done. I am just going to enjoy them now. I attended the games in Sydney...It was the time of my life

Best vacation of my entire life! Well partly just because Australia is wonderful, but people from all over the world partying! Even met some friends while there, that I still keep in touch with.

Try not to miss out in the fun of the games, even if you don't like sports, or even wanted the games here.
It's certainly going to be an interesting time in the city.

When I was a teenager, was at a party with some buddies, one really straight laced guy. No drugs no booze.
He accidentely ate some pot brownies. Why he didn't clue in to the fact the only food at the party, was a plate of brownies, and they might contain pot....I don't know.

But after he did, he didn't get all upset.....he said "Fuck it, I am going to enjoy this shit" I am still friends with that guy today, but that night he got stoned was the only time he was any fun.

actually, he is not a master of doublespeak, you can see right through him but he is a shameless, duplicitous asshole...

kind of like AIG CEOs et al...

about as honest as an Enron auditor...

this guy makes Michael de Guzman and Bernard Madoff virtuous in comparison...

complete misappropriation of time and resources...

also, from an entertainment point of view, a completely lackluster event...

far inferior to the Summer Olympics...
