Complete newbie to this all... 2 basic questions:

1) What timeframe should I allow after attempting contact before I write-off the provider as not-receptive? I'm trying to book 2 weeks out so this might be impacting things.

2) As a 56yo, recognizing I'm at the upper range for what some SPs will accept, should I attribute lack of response to age filtering? How common is age screening?

1. Variable, but I'd say 3-5 days would be the longest to wait before moving on if you're trying to contact someone who is new to you. Please make sure you have sent in at least the information they have requested for booking (ie. age, date/time, screening, named method of deposit).

Some SPs respond to emails in batches and post on social media when they will be going through them.

2. I don't think 56 is a common age to pass over or "filter out". It isn't an issue for me. Many of my colleagues prefer older gentlemen and some won't see anyone under 35.

My personal opinion.

1) I consider an hour delay in response to mark non receptive, regardless of the time and date of booking.
2) I think most providers are good to meet with older men. However, I have seen advertisement with restriction for younger guys but never came across the upper limit as age filtering over 40.

1. Need to distinguish no reply from non receptive. May be busy, on holidays, tending children, with significant other, what ever.
2. Only seen one post in many years with an upper age limjit.

Some providers have 2 phones which may impact response time. My work phone is off when I'm not available. If it's 2 weeks out, give a few days response time. If you're booking through email, they can sometimes go to junk. I don't check my junk often enough. I found a few days old email in there a few days ago.

56 years old is a perfect age. I really can't see anybody screening that age out. I guess you never know until you ask.

I think same day appointments an hour response time might be reasonable but I'd consider giving a bit more than that. We can't always answer our phone but we might be available in an hour or two. I sometimes wish I had a secretary!! lol

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

The age thing that got me worried was seeing a -> 60yo range specified on Emmy St. Claire's website. I'm essentially on that cusp so I worried this was common.

Only 1 hr. Wow. Even if we still have some same day availability, some of us are busy in other sessions. Plenty of guys out there book multi-hrs & it would be rude to answer the phone during a session. I’ll only get on my phone during session if it’s a beep from personal life & could potentially be an emergency, especially with having a family and all.
