I list all the accessories

I bought the camera 8 month ago . and have taken about 500 pictures with it
the D5100 was $749 on sale ( it had been $699 a day before LOL)
It came with a Nikkor 18-55 VR lens
Then I bought package that gave me discounts on a 3/5 year warranty, a camera bag, and 8 GB x10 card., with a e few other little things That would of added up to over $400 alone but I got for $159..and then the tax which took it all up to just over $1002

So I see all these prices of D5100 at $680 or lower well that is Camera and lens only nothing else
.. but that is not what you will end up paying in the end .. you all know that .

I will match the sale price on the D5100 with lens . and every thing else is a boniness

If you are in to photography and want a good camera . , no matter what you are willing to pay , the camera is the cheapest thing .. then the lenses and other accessories will end up costing you three time that .

If it is the standard D5100 it is selling on Amazon.ca for $680 so you may wish to rethink your asking price. Just sayin' ...

EDIT: Unless it comes with more accessories than you listed that is
You're totally screwed. Broadway Camera which is probably the best place in Vancouver & Richmond to buy a prosumer SLR is selling them new for $639.99 including the 18-55 DX VR lens.

So not really and bonuses you mean unless you're actually talking about having a high portion of bones... Nikon's keep their value even at 500 shutter releases, BUT only the top end models. You can see how much the price has dropped over the last 12 months -- to ask for more than the sealed box price might be unrealistic. Even price matching as well.

obvious;y he can ask what he wants but it doesn't mean he will get it. It is a used piece of elelctronics. After just a little use expect at least a 30% drop in value. Trying to get all or most of your money back will only delay the sale and further reduce the camera's value. Go to the shop above and ask them what a used one is worth and see what their pricing is like.

So you all figure if i was offered $550 for the package i would be doing good .. that is $100 less then what the camera cost new , all the reat of the stuff is free .

Just say that camera in the store does not come with a card or extended warranty , or camera bag .. and then there is tax which some one is saving on when they buy barely used .

Yes so true .. i sold other stuff through the years Flat screen TVs loss money real fast computers , used to be obsolete a few months after you bought them furniture usually only can get %50 of what you payed ...

If OI can't get a reasonable price for the camera there is no reason to give i away .. It is a good camera and i will keep it .. mayb I should start looking for some
used lenses I see where many people still want some high prices for their used lens

I see where London drug has the Nikon D5100 on for $619.. Talk about bad timing to sell some thing.. The comments i have been get from email . are offers of $450 and that they don't need a bag or card.. or the box and I guess they don't want the extended warranty ether .. only problem is they are only useful to that camera lol.

Not a bad price actually... but $650 would see better movement.

- d5100 won't be replaced until closer to Xmas, Nikon consumer/entry release timing is like clockwork.
- not the same CMOS sensor as the D7000, sorry. The D7000 sensor is a different 16mp version by Sony, also found in the Pentax K5 or NEX5N.
-the warranty info isn't clear... 3/5 blacks warranty? which is it..3 or 5 extended? The camera already has a Canadian specific 2yr warranty so anything extended would be on top of the 2yrs.

Not looking to buy, just chiming in... not a horrible price even with accessories, but bags and memory mean nothing as any good asian run cam store store (like Broadway cam, and not trying to be derogatory...) will throw these in if you hum-and-haw over it long enough. The extended warranty is a nice add-on though.
