Nice discreet hotel

Hello I will be traveling down to the Vancouver area mainly to go skiing, but also wanted to check out the hobby scene. I asked a lady what hotel to book and she reported that I should check into a hotel and pay 2300 dollars a night for this hotel. Now I don't want to sound like a cheap skate, but I don't really want to pay upwards of 10,000 dollars for my few nights in the Vancouver area, I guess probably for this lady I'm going to be too much of a cheap skate for her. I want to stay in the Vancouver area and want a nice hotel that is discreet where a lady can come up to my room with no problems. Now I don't need anything crazy because this is just a hotel room for me to sleep for a few nights and I don't want anywhere or anything dirty. I was thinking maybe 150 or less a night that these ladies are willing to go into. You can PM if we want to keep this hidden.

Count on hotels costing $300 minimum

$2300 a night really? Must be the Presidential Suite. Have a look at Booking.com with Vancouver location search parameter. You'll get a full range of hotels that are available from budget up to four star type. Be careful though with a final decision as some are non refundable the day you book, some have an option to change for a small premium up to the day before. But I have used that website many times in Alberta and B.C. and never had a problem. Finally thought if you see a hotel you like often times you can double check price and room selection on that specific facility's own website. I'd steer clear of the lady who made that recommendation to you though.
