New Truck- GM Costco pricing every year?

Been eying new trucks lately and decided that GM is the way to go.
They have the Costco/preferred pricing on until Sept 3. This is for any remaining “on the lot 2019 vehicles”.

I’ve mostly bought used vehicles privately and personally not enjoying the buying experience. The games salesmen play is quite infuriating! I know they’re just trying to sell as many vehicles as possible at the maximum price with whatever garbage they have on the lot! Tell them a specific option/feature I want then they try to tell me I don’t need it!
Or I send a salesman an email telling them exactly what I want then I get the old “I’m sure we can find you something when do you want to come do some test drives?”
I fucking know how these trucks drive and I do want one...find me what I fucking want then I’ll come in and talk numbers!
Anyways! End of rant!

Timing really sucks for me right now and I’m not totally in a comfortable position to buy, but my truck is slowly falling apart and don’t want to put any more money into it! And I worry the incentive next year won’t be as good/not come into affect at a good time!

Anyways too the point! Does GM offer this incentive every year? I’d rather wait until spring next year before pulling the trigger!

Don't get me started.....
Fords can't handle the tough conditions in the remote interior, and the dealerships up here do not stand behind their product.GM does better but they don't have the clearance, and too many electronics for -30 conditions.
Dodge is decent with the Cummins diesel, but you'll watch the truck disintegrate around the motor.
In conclusion...they are all junk for what they charge....you just need to choose the best piece of shit on the market, and hope you don't have too many repairs before you put a bullet through it.

I’m simply asking if GM runs their preferred pricing every year.
Right now they have Costco preferred pricing that ends sept 3.

Wondering if this would be the ultimate time to buy.

My 2 cents would be, buy when the time is right for you. Don't let manufacturer's or dealer's incentives motivate you to buy before the time is right. There will always be some sort of incentives out there.

If it were the case that I liked the 2019 models, I'd be thinking that a year from now there'll be some lightly-used 2019s sitting on the lots, at big mark-downs from new.

Some trucks came/come with a “Max Trailering option” with beefed up suspension and axle.
Going through the used stuff either all these trucks don’t have it or people aren’t advertising it!
Thinking about adding a travel trailer to my arsenal but don’t want to go 2500 or 3500.
Borrowed and towed a 25’ travel trailer a few months back, current truck handled it ok but not great!
I imagine the max tow trucks would be way better!

To each his own. When we acquired our 25 ft fifth wheel trailer, it came with a 2002 Chev 2500 HD. Having used it for a few years now, I'd never go back to a 1500. The 2500 has 250 K on it, but no issues and I really enjoy driving it.

Sounds like the 1500’s with Max Trailering option would almost handle a trailer like a 2500 but then get 1500 fuel economy while daily driving.
I’ve heard those 2500 and 3500 gas trucks love fuel!

GM does it annually to get rid of the remaining model year vehicles as the new stuff comes out. If you look closely it doesn't apply to a new order because that will be a 2020 model. I just bought a new Chevy Corvette four days ago, $19,000 off. I will leave my personal opinions on pickup trucks durability out of the conversation.

They should make trucks for what trucks were meant to be. Stop making them like a luxury car.

My old truck has what was the top-of-the-line luxury equipment in 2002, and I enjoy the conveniences, especially on long highway hauls, but I use it as a truck. When I don't have stuff to haul, I use a little car, or my tiny motorcycle.

It's amusing, in the supermarket parking lot, to be loading groceries onto the racks of my little two-wheeler, while the guy in the next parking stall is putting the same amount of stuff into a great big grunting one-ton diesel pickup.

There is that. I only drive the truck when I need it to carry loads. Most of the year, I fill the tank once or twice a month. That doesn't hurt too much. When we're on a road trip, towing, it's more like twice a day.

If the truck is your daily driver, the cost of fuel does become a big factor.

I’m in the residential construction business and have tools and material to haul on a daily bases.
I’m definitely not one of those clowns driving around in a lifted 1 ton diesel while wearing a business suit and shiny shoes.

Years ago I worked with a guy, the owners son of the business, who was a spoiled little brat that loved to show off his new full load F350’s every year. Kid was in sales and definitely had little dick syndrome!
Said he drove the truck so he could haul his little travel trailer a couple times a year! Lol

Another thing to consider is the Trump recession is on its way, and recessions tend to be really great times to buy durables.
