Over the years they've had some outstanding talent there. The problem was always the same. Eric and Belinda.
I'm sure if the new owner develops a reputation of being a decent person to work for and doesn't allow any nonsense the talent will be there.
A lot of ladies like working at an MP. They just show up and don't have to worry about bookings, having an call, having a driver, etc.
The problem has always been that either the owner is a jerk or the a few of girls gang up and bully the others (like at BW's).
The good ones get tired of the nonsense and leave.
Hopefully this guy will get it right.

Looks like they're trying to address the needing new talent thing. Has anyone talked to them about their rates yet?
Rates are decent when I went in yesterday they where starting at 30 I'm not sure if that's just for now but starting at 30 is a damn good price if you ask me! There was a girl with pink hair at the front sitting with another brunette girl seems they are allowed to walk around in robes now, they look good but they should keep that for the room! Pictures are gone to, girls have to introduce so we get to actually see how they look that day and NO Membership numbers anymore.
Somethings a little fishy about this place. A couple of weeks after the place closed my lawyer contacted the City of Winnipeg and inquired about re-opening this location as a MP. A day later he received a call from the city indicating that at this time the city would not allow this location to re-open. They also told him that at this time they were not allowing a license for an MP anywhere in the city.
The place also still looks like a dive from the outside. What's it look like inside?????

It is actually quite nice on the inside.
I called the other day. I asked if the owner was around and the gal on the phone was kind enough to put him on.
I was upfront with him and told him I'm a local pooner who had been there when Eric owned it but not for the past couple of years.
I told him there is quite a bit of chatter on the local boards, which he is familiar with, regarding the place re-opening and some concern about the licensing.
He told me that it is true that Eric could not transfer the license but that the City allowed him to get a new one because the location is "grandfathered" prior to the by-law amendment a few years ago. He was able to get a license because the property had previously been licensed as an MP.
He assured me that everything was approved and on the up and up otherwise he would not have invested a lot of money into this venture.
From talking to him he seemed like a pretty level headed guy who isn't about to waste thousands of dollars investing in a new business only to get it shut down.
He invited me to come down and check things out myself (even offered a free room rate).
I think I'll just sit back and give this time but my feeling is that the new operation is legit and properly licensed but as I said before, time will tell.
