I enquired as well purely out of curiosity and got same request for deposit but also there was mention of questionable services on offering which add yet another red flag in my mind. Probably best to move on and take a hard pass.

If it is a scam, it does make me doubt the 'verified' LL status now. What do they have to do get the 'verified' tag?

nothing that actually verifies them, probably just confirm a phone number or something, i find verified are less reliable than not verified
