Magni has been my favorite vocalist, but as a performer he's not that dynamic. I think SN is looking for someone dynamic on stage like Toby or Lukas. I hope I'm wrong since I like Magni the best, but all the comments from SN point to performances instead of actual singing ability.
Don't underestimate the importance of being able to deliver dynamic performances. Good vocal ability might sell a few more cds but a dynamic performer sells tickets to concerts. The reality of the music industry is that even big name performers make a lot more money from concerts than they do from CD sales. The labels keep most of the profits from CD sales. On average Artists make about 8 times as much income from concerts as they do from CD sales. As seasoned professionals Tommy, Gilby, and Jason are well aware of the realities of the business and a going to pick someone who they think is most likely to fill the seats at their concerts.

Writing their own music will also increase the amount of revenue generated through royalties which is why the stronger song writers will probably have an advantage over someone who is just a good singer.

...no Led Zeppelin, ACDC, or even The Clash? Maybe the contestants are too young for those songs....
But not too young for the Beatles and Who tunes that they've been doin'??...

My money is on Dilana gettin' the axe tonite.

As much as I hate to see her go...I have to agree, she has just imploded over the past two weeks. Tearing the calf muscle is definatly not going to help.

Whew! Lukas is safe for now! he is my fav to win, I just love his weirrd little face and cute dimples. He truly is one of the most talented. I think Ryan will be amazing and deserves his own stage. I cant wait to see these guys in Feb. I cant belive they cost me more than the stones for a ticket!

For me, I find myself watching the show and thinking each performer is really good. And then Lukas does his tune. The guy has mad talent. He turned "Livin' On A Prayer" into a freakin' rock anthem. There's absolutely no contest.

Lukas is ok but he mumbles too much and you can't understand a damn thing he's singing.

I was for Storm all the way (any Storm in a port) as I believe she is much better vocally than Dilana. That freaky bitch has to go. Enough with the phoney sympathy tugs with crutches now and I made a mistake bullshit over and over again.

Stormy looked pretty hot jumping into the pool wearing nothing but a thong! Maybe Toby was looking down under?

I would like Lukas to win. But I think they might pass him over because he is so young and they are over twice his age, so I don't know if he would fit in with them.
Actually Toby and Magni are both 28, Lukas is 29 and Dilana is the old chick in the crowd at 33. They're all going to make SN look young so that isn't an advantage or disadvantage.

This Show - Waste of Time

This show is a waste of time to watch. Shows like this are making people return to reading books.

So what are you reading today? Here is a pick for ya, how about "how not to get banned from a hooker's review board?";) Welcome back, I see you are already back in full gear with your meaningful one-liners all over the place.

Now back to the show. Since when has Cheap Trick become a punk band? The Supernova track was the best one I've heard so far. Magni did a good job vocally but was kind of putting me to sleep at the same time. Sorry to see Storm go but she wasn't right for the band (promising career with her combination of music and looks though). Toby has picked up a ton of momentum but does anyone else think that getting the truck means consolation prize?

That's what I thought too when she mentioned it... Didn't her arrangement turn the song into a hoedown?

That's so last season ;) . I actually miss that catch phrase.:D

That's freaky cause I was thinking the same thing.

I was also wondering about Lukas' decision to sing the same song (Headspin?) that basically put him into the bottom three... but it all seemed to work out for him.

Dilana will be gone simply because no group of 3 guys wants to deal with the emotional baggage she packs around, no matter how much she may 'fit' the band.
I'm stickin' with Lukas. Although my gut keeps tellin' me that Toby is the band fave. That bald dude from Iceland can't hold a candle to either of them.

I knew somebody would pick that up, good on you.

I'm guessing a) he didn't think he would be in the bottom 3 (so no elimination song prepared) or b) he thinks that there is a slight chance that Supernova will sent him packing if he is in the bottom 3, so why not go out with his original song (can you possibly get a better plug than that?). I am quite sure, however, that his self-appointed encore made bartendr's head spin.

Normally I dont this much effort into disliking someone(I prefer indifference),and I dont know why, maybe its those stupid pouty eyebrows or the way he warbles his voice. May he should give Storm Large some of her wardrobe and make up back before she kicks outa town.

Lukas is 29??!! Wow, I thought in the beginning of Supernova he said he was only 20. He certainly doesn't look 29. But then again it's hard to tell with all that makeup.:D
The receding hairline gave it up for me!

I don't know if it's just me but does it seem like there is some tension between Tommy and Magni?
Yup, there does seem to be a bit of hostility. Patrice had a bit of an attitude as well and look where she is.

I think Lukas will win tonight. I sure hope that boot Dilana doesn't win or I will slit my wrists!:p
Or you can wrist her slit! :D :D
