Anyone remember the great Mistress Azy?
Vancouver, circa 1983 and the illustrious Mistress was dealing out her cruel form of eroticism near Clark Drive and Marine. Truly one of best. Although the 1980's are gone forever and the good Mistress has retired, it appears her persona has made something of a literary rebirth in a novel called Father of Rain, by Anvil Press. It's weird, but gives a real taste of the old time SM scene during our Recession on the Coast. Remember before the internet when everyone had to use Vancouver Swinger to find some action?

In 1987 I had my first ever session with a Pro-Domme and it was Mistress Azy. Obviously I was wildly inexperienced but just being in an actual dungeon with a real, live Dominatrix was the most intoxicating thing I had ever experienced in my young life. The scent of leather, wood, and perfume will be forever marked in my mind. Also, the first time I managed to get an underground personals publication; her photo stormed my mind non stop and I knew I had to figure out a way to see her, even though I did not live in Vancouver at the time. I have since then seen dozens of wonderful Dommes, but the sheer frisson of being a very young man(22!) and seeing that pic will never be topped.
From what I understand, she passed away in the 1990s from cancer at a much too young age. At least, that's what I read here years ago.

I never heard she passed away , thats really sad . She was a wonderful person and Domme . Sessioned with her many times and spent some time with her out of session . Do you have any photo's of her ? Trying to remember but the years have dulled my memory . Thanks

I'm sorry, but no, I do not have a photo of her. I wish I did, she was a crucial person in my my explorations back then. I remember being with friends in Luv-A -Fair one night and she came in with a couple of people; her presence was magnetic but I did not approach her, I felt like I should respect her boundaries. Later on she said she saw me there all the same
