He certainly did Ashley no good, he openly acknowledged that he was supplying her with crack to manipulate her. That is not something anyone would do to someone they cared about.
Please, please, please understand that Maverick is NO FRIEND OF MINE but he didn't do that to manipulate Ashley Fame or anyone. This was his first instance of encountering someone with a substance abuse problem.

He is absolutely clueless and "yes" a hooker groupie but not a dangerous fellow. Other than outting SPs or befriending them to grade them later on public forums, he's tame.

Maverick's always seemed like a complete idiot and this is just another confirmation, but Veronica and bobbi - you've both plastered your pictures and videos all over the internet along with rates per hour. I don't think either of you were "outed". You put yourselves out there.

You both seem like great girls so it's unfortunate but you can't reasonably expect that strangers will value your privacy more than you yourselves do.

Posting anything on the internet and then expecting that it will be treated discreetly is fucking nuts.

But not everyone is trolling around looking for those sites, so they are
NOT plastered everywhere ...

and its still something to be considered that approaching someone
on the street (or in a theatre or whatever) is still not kosher under
any circumstances.

Do you pack of morons have no impulse control that you have to
run up to every pair of tits and announce that you've seen them
someplace before????

You know that's not true. Any publication intended for workers and consumers in the sex industry is picked up by the public at large. If not because they feel the need to get morally outraged over something, then because they're curious. Do you really think pooners are the only people who ever google "escort"?

Didn't say it was a great thing to do. It's a moronic thing to do but not because someone who has already outed themselves might somehow be MORE outed. It's a fucked up thing to do because it's obvious that it would make the sp in question uncomfortable. I think anyone who does crap like that does it SOLEY for that purpose regardless of any claim to the contrary. Like a mini power trip.

I don't travel with that pack, thanks.

CLM, I appreciate your opinion but she did not have that issue when she was living here in Winnipeg, and I know a crackhead when I see one. She was much more curvy and healthy looking.

.. and he almost ruined my retirement!!!

I was out last week, at the roxy, with my man and some friends. And some dough head comes up to me and says, (over the music) "HEY, BOBBIVAN????"

I just about lost it.

First of all, if he was really curious if it was me or not, or if he REALLY wanted to talk to me, he should have approached me while I was alone.

Second of all, he is SO flippin' lucky that I'm an honest person and that my man already knew of 'bobbi'.

My friends (1 of them knew) were all confused, and I had to make up some story about 'bobbi' being an internet handle... which is not that easy to believe, but they bought it for the time being.

I would just like Maverick to know how unbelievable rude it was for him to just come up to me and try to out me like that.

He wouldn't tell me who he was at first, made ME play a guessing game. I wanted to punch him right in the nose, but I was enjoying the roxy that night and didn't want to get kicked out.

MAVERICK, in the future, use your brain.
ticked me off.. congrats for being cool ... I would have found a way to .. at the moment ...knock on wood, but alone with him... not only a head.. balls would roll !!!!!:D :D WARNING im not joking

Bingo. Yet one more reason not to post your face all over the internet. Nobody gives a shit what the face looks like anyways.
In mavericks defense (not that I'm condoning what he did, because it was pretty fuckin' stupid) he could have simply assumed that, because your face is all over the internet, that you had nothing to hide. After all, there's nothing stopping any of your friends or family from seeing your ad pics just as easily as the rest of us.

I read through this thread with interest. Not just because it's a bit of a train wreck for Maverick, but because I've always wondered what I would (or should) do if I encountered an SP I knew in their "civilian" identity.

Mostly I asked myself, what would you mind, if it happened the other way around - if the SP spoke up to me first.

If I was in a public venue, and we were both obviously alone, I might test the water by saying something like "Excuse me, but are you so-and-so?". This would give them a chance to deny and break contact. I'd also make sure that I didn't seem threatening. i.e. not walk right up to them at a secluded bus stop in the middle of the night. I'd keep any ensuing conversation short and I'd certainly not use it to try and book an appointment (that's what phones are for).

Basically, I'd feel rude to not acknowledge someone I knew in public. It would feel like I was snubbing them somehow.

Of course, reading this thread I'm seeing that the best idea is no contact at all. Still, I probably wouldn't resist giving someone a slight nod if we made eyecontact.

Wow a I'm sorry I had a few to many drinks that night at the roxy and wasn't thinking straight would have been pretty easy to cough up. I don't think I ever been near sober at the roxy.
Once when out for some drinks with family and friends at a lounge, some guy announced as we were walking in that I was a "HO". I just kind of blew it off as some drunk punk.
I remembered seing him. He was really young and said he was from out of town. I guess that's why most girls don't like to see the young ones!

and this is no way to be taken as a justification for Mav's actions. I'm no friend or ally of his especially since he flipped out on me after I called him by his name and passed out after I was drugged while I was on the phone with him. He said I wasn't discreet when I told him his number was programmed under his name in my phone, he and his dramatic, overly inflated delusional importance, lost it when I remarked that no one but me knows his name and if anyone were to find my phone and randomly started to dial the people in my phone that how would they know it was him. I'm still scratching my head, especially since I know 3 other people with the same name.

As an SP there is a price to pay when you decide to advertise showing your full face becoming even more high profile. SPs are minor celebrities and not unlike Hollywood actors or pro athletes, we can become a personality where unfortunately we have to relinquish some of that privacy we so desperately try to hang on to. For as long as there is a full face, a truly identifiable feature, there will always be people who can't separate the fantasy from the reality and feel that they have some connection to you. I'm not at all saying that it doesn't happen to those who keep their face hidden as I have experienced a super fan but I could put a face to him as I've seen him as a client. I don't think BobbiVan has met Maverick before that evening and I can't imagine just how scary that is but...Bobbivan if you are reading this, Mav isn't going to be the first person to do this, expect more.

Of course on the other board he is vehemently denying any wrong doing, and feels that Bobbi should have pm'd him or emailed and he would have apologized. Oh and VV is whacked as her version of the pole dance episode is completely wrong. He has even posted an email from her to try and prove his innocence......?????

The boy's an ASS

I would never say a thing, wink, wave, smile, even if I was standing in line behind you at Londons Drugs. ( and we have met;) )

SP 's do have a life after work and discretion is the name of this game.

Yup. He also stated that he thinks Bobbi owes him an apology for the way she reacted to the situation. This was my response to him on that board:

She owes you an apology?!? You can't possibly believe that can you? Approaching an SP, present or former, in public and using their working name is an asshole move, end of story. It doesn't matter that only her SO could hear you, and it doesn't matter that he turned out to already know. It doesn't matter that she uses the same name on a different forum. It doesn't matter that she's done porn & nude modelling. Did you ever stop to think that whoever she was with might not know about any of that? Did you stop to think about the questions that your greeting might bring up? Discretion is the key to this industry, and it works both ways. If you really still don't understand how stupid that was, then you're an idiot.
