Forget about winning $1 million ($1.07 million US) https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=76862 , lets go whole hog and win the $35 million ($37.5 million US) in this Wednesday`s 6-49.

What would you do if you won this weeks Lotto 6-49?

Myself,

  1. Give $1 million to each of my sisters, brothers, mom & dad, and in-laws (OK - thats $9 million gone).
  2. Sell my current house buy a newer, larger and nicer one (net another $2 million gone).
  3. Put $2 million into a trust fund with the interest being donated to my favorite charities.
  4. Buy a lakefront vacation property in the Okanagan (another $1 million)
  5. Buy a vacation property in Hawaii (another $1 million).
  6. Buy an airplane and several nice vehicles (another $1 million).
  7. Put $1 million into a party/slush fund and have fun.
  8. Invest the remaining $18 million, quit my job and retire.
Lets face it, $35 million is more than enough to live the life of luxury for the rest of our lives (and our children, grandchildren etc.) :D

If I won the 35 million

1- put 15 million towards charity.
2- help family and friends. maybe 2 mill
3- Buy a nice home and cottage. roughly 2mill.
4- 5 million into different trusts for the kids
5- invest the rest and live off of the intrest.

I wouldn't want to make life to easy for anyone. I want them to enjoy life but they still need to work.

Wouldn't it be a blast to fuck right in the middle of $35 Million worth of hundred dollar bills?
Lets see, $35 million, I'd buy a piece of land with a little river running through it, rolling hills and trees. A nice sized piece of land, big enough my family and I can go riding our new quads and snowmobiles around for fun. I'd build a house worth about $300.000 to $350.000 on that land. Nothing over the top, just a nice home. I'll need a large garage.
Then I'd furnish my home with unique and modern style furniture and top of the line sercurity and electronics.
I'd go on a clothing shopping spree in Vancouver (shopping in Vancouver kicks ass), after I stopped in M-A-C cosmetics and bought 1-2 of everything.
I'd buy myself a sports car and a 4X4, and mod them out.
After a short vacation down south in Mexico, I'd come home and buy my mother a new house. I'd buy my brother a new Kenworth so he doesn''t have to drive the company truck back and fourth across Canada (include a small fund for maintenance and emergency repairs).
To all my new friends that I haven't seen or talked to for years, that come out of the woodwork, I'd buy them each a Hallmark Card saying "Thanks but no thanks."
And last, I'd donate $100.000 to a no kill animal rescue center.
The rest would be placed into 3 different banks and I'd let the interest build up on each account.
Oh, and gum, I'd buy a lot of gum.
I can chew my gum and look over my new review board that I bought off of Fred and changed the name to PERV. :D Fred! Are you willing to sell me the board if I win $35 Million? ;)

Well first, I'd travel back to Vancouver after purchasing the ticket in Ontario or Quebec... but reality aside:

1. 10% to charity. That's a long standing promise I've had to myself if I ever win big money.
2. Pay off my parents mortgage, but them a new house.
3. Probably distribute some money to each family member, can't say how much. Probably enough to buy themselves a house and then some.
4. Put my grandmothers up in a nice seniors living center, where they can be waited on hand an foot :)
5. Buy myself a house... just a nice modern one. It'll be around town so I don't have to travel too far to work.
6. TRAVEL (probably for a year, no plans, just go with the wind)
7. Invest. Mutual funds, businesses, houses... anything where my money would be put to work for me.
8. Treat myself to some nice extras here and there.
9. Buy/build a school in some 3rd world country and put my name on it :D
10. Raise an army of geurilla chimps to take over the country with. master my evil genious laugh. The usual.

Hmm...... lots of things come to mind.

Make some of my family members and friends slightly rich..... so 10 million or so.
Use 20 Million to grow on interest.
with 5 mill by an alright house way out of town, a small appartment in the city... fast cars and travel the world
...

We dream of winning 35 million..... of Richard Brason, Bill Gates, Ted Turner, Donald Trump..... just to name a few woke up one day and only had 35 million they'd jump infrount of a fast moving locomotive

I don't want to get in some huge argument.... as I detest most charities.... but 10% sounds more like a religous tithe. I just don't see what the point in donating money to charities ..... I'd build a charity with 3.5 mill for something I believe in and run. I get the idea that it is a nice thing to. But I'd just hate to throw that sort of money into something and not have any control over how its spent ect. It might be better to use that sort of money and build a charitable organization in which you know its 100% non-profit.

Someone mentioned the sudden friends a person would get. Don't forget family members that have disappeared off the radar and suddenly come to visit.

1. Money to immediate family and certain friends to help out. I wouldn't overkill cuz most are bound to screw up what they get and might come around again.

2. Start some kind of charity that doles out cash to other charities.

3. Random acts of kindness like when you read about someone getting really screwed and need help.

4. A new place with acreage.

5. Invest in real estate.

6. Buy an island somewhere.

7. Set aside funds for stock investment, bank accounts that accrue decent interest.

8. Invest in micro startups in 3rd world countries.

9. Travel.

10. Someone stole my guerilla chimp army and taking over the world idea. :mad:

When I say "charity", I usually mean Childrens Hospital.

And Nick, I did not steal your idea. Just because your spies were not quick enough to get the plans for the chimp army over to you before I posted it does not make it a stolen idea in the slightest :p
